I am fairly new to this thing and I realize things would get boring quick. But, has it ever been attempted? If so, who was the first to break it and how long did it last? History is full of successful examples (Bloods&Crips, Hatfields&McCoys, Isreal and Palestine, Branch Davidians&ATF, Shiites and Sunnis).

you're funny - welcome aboard. Yep, there was a ceasefire one day - it was the weekend, and all day it was a hot steamy nasty war on here -
then one of the athiests who is a regular, put up some joke stuff and it wasn't terrible or anything, and was only meant to lighten things up a bit; well, The folks of faith went ballistic, and me? Well, I'm Christian, but I recognized the need for things to chill out, so I was totally cool about it, and even thought it was amusing.'
Well, I got reported for fraternizing with the enemy, I suppose.
Things get so heated up on this forum, and it really is healthy to just chill out for a few minutes and everybody all just laugh at themselves - its good for everybody, because when there's too much tension, those nice folks who are visiting and really have a question they want answered, they ask it in the middle of a bloody battle - nothing gets accomplished, except some poor guy thinks we're all crazy and gets out.
There is no reason why athiests and Christians can't sit business aside for a moment, and just take a deep breath together - for the good of everyone - If the need arise.
And guys, don't report people of any faith because they speak to an athiest person -
thats just wrong. Whether you agree or disagree with them, at least show a little bit of integrety and decorum and be mature enough to not act like a contrary child on a playground;
Even Christ spoke to, and even ate meals with sinners. I hope all Christians on here, particularly, will take this to heart.

Branch Davidian & the ATF? Yeah, that went well. lol No, there will never be and has never been a cease fire. Too many people want attention. It'll never happen. If it's that annoying, go to another section for awhile and come back here. The insults do tend to ebb a bit depending on the time of day, etc.

Yes and it is remarkably the same as an Isreal/ Palistinian cease fire.
which is to say the space between two different bullets fired from the same automatic rifle.

I don't know, but I'm attempting one now. Let's hope things get worked out and whatever issues there may be are solved.
