Jesus said this:
John 15:18"If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. 19If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you."

They are hate driven.

Yes, there are some with genuine curiosity and some of them are being guided by the Holy Spirit by the will of the Father. They are the ones we wait for so that God can use us to lead them to the kingdom. If you are Christian, watch for them and care for them. Through love and understanding we can bring them to understanding and love as well, for the God who loves us.

Why ever would one "just believe". If one just believed there would be no Christianity. We would be set in our ways and Christ would just have died - he would have had no disciples and they would not be able to convert anyone. The world would still be flat and the skies would revolve around us as the centre of the Universe. IT is not only Christianity we question but the fundamental basics of belief and why people don't question life and the inconsequential size and power of the Universe.

Probably because Many Christians always HAVE TO question everyone else, their cultures, their lifestyle and their beliefs... can't those Christians just be a tad open minded?

As to JUST BELIEVING... I think that is quite dangerous to believe without questioning or challenging. Suicide Bombers and Cult Terrorists all over the world from Middle East to Asia to Europe have that mentality of "Just Believing"... and look how horrifying they have made the world in the last coupla years... I certainly don't want that for my family, my friends, my loved ones and definitely not myself.

There are three primary reasons why Christianity is so frequently challenged:

1. Christianity has a long and bloody history of persecuting and slaughtering those who followed other religious dogmas or who chose life without dogma altogether.

2. Christianity is based upon so many myths and stories of dubious origin that lack any adequate evidence to validate its wild claims.

3. Christianity, at its core, is a highly irrational set of beliefs that have no meaningful basis in reality and no practical relevance in modern society.

Many people believe in their own religions.

Why should they believe in yours just because you say they should?

Christianity is not the only religion that tells it's believers that if you believe in the religion, that they believers will be saved, and the unbelievers will be damned.

So which do you chose to believe in?

The Bible is not the only old religious text. Much of the old testament is copied from other religious texts. Much of the new testament is copied from other religious texts. Much of what Jesus taught was taught to him, we know this because of the texts that were written before he was born, that said almost exactly what he is attributed to have preached.

At least other religions don't steal their sacred documents from previous religions.

For many it's not that they can't, it's that they don't want to. To believe in Christianity means doing something, not just accepting a bunch of historical facts, but to change ones life. James says, "Faith without works is dead." And thus we have many people who are quite content with their lives, their behavior, their points of view, and even if they were to see Jesus Himself, they would still refuse to accept Christianity because they don't want to change (For men loved darkness rather than light).
However, there are some who when faced with the evidences of Christianity they will in turn come to believe, while there are others who when faced with Christian evidences, still cannot believe because other evidences seem to outweigh the Christian evidences, thus more research needs be done for them to choose one way or the other.
I get frustrated many times (especially here on Yahoo Answers) when someone rejects Christianity even though they are proven to be wrong, and all of their objections towards Christianity are answerd. On the other hand I often get frustrated with my fellow Christians for using emotional arguments without thinking through what they are saying.
Faith (or belief) in the Bible is never a blind leap, faith in the Bible is built upon evidence (Historical, geographical, eye witness, etc...), and so if you want a person to believe, you have to present that evidence (IE: The Gospel). Paul said, "For I am not ashamed of the Gospel, for IT is the power of God unto salvation." He also said, "How shall they believe unless they hear?"

Sorry, but cannot just believe in something, Part of human nature is the innate sense that you must question everything. I personally need proof of a scientific nature that something exists. As I cannot prove god does not exist and you cannot PROVE god does exist this question can just keep going round and round for ever. People just have to accept that others have different views and let them get on with it and stop trying to convine the unconvincable.

Faith must be tested or it is not true faith. Even believers must continue to seek the truth. God reveals more of His nature to us as we grow in our faith. We must question new wisdom in light of scripture to keep us on the right track.

Unfortunately Christianity has been wrongly used to push people away by people who didn't correctly understand it.

I questioned who Jesus was and why I need Him in my life for a long time before I came to believe. But through questioning and searching for the truth, I am better able to articulate and defend my faith. So bring on the questions!

I don't question Christianity, I question ALL religion.
I question your weakness in believing in something that was fabricated 2000-plus years ago to give comfort to severely uneducated people and to push them into a civilised and law-abiding lifestyle through fear of a non-existent hell if they didn't toe the line.
Surely, in 2007, all that nonsense should have gone the same way as belief in Zeus and Thor and Ra, etc. But no - you indoctrinate your young and impressionable children along the same lines as you were brainwashed - without questioning.
The key words here are 'without questioning'.
Clearly, if you simply take the words of some old fools just because these words are written in a man-made book and believe in the content WITHOUT QUESTION, you are blindly following a dogma without thinking about it. What does that say about your intelligence?
Question everything!!! Maybe the truth will emerge. I do hope so.

Atheism is the only logical choice. What can't you understand about that?

I question it b/c I'm not a Christian.
Questiong religion doesn't mean your questioning your faith, it's just keeping your faith healthy rather than blindly following a religion.

Hahaha non-believers are equally as lost as Christians.
Believe it or not non-believers have a set of morals and conversely some Christians have none....look at Hitler.
