What does it mean when your boyfriend always "forgets" to buy condoms, when it is his turn? Either that, or he complains that it is embarrassing. Even though he knows that if he doesn't, he won't get sex. Also, he barely ever initiates sex anyway.

This is after four years of dating -- started after about 2 years, though.

Also, just to mention, he says it's because he's paranoid about his weight, he's afraid the condom will break (it did once), and I he doesn't like it when I cry during sex (this happens sometimes, mostly because I am grieving for a dead parent).

Yah, uh that made my question sound more complicated. Anyway -- I look a lot hotter than when we met and I'm more successful now, but why should I go on birth control if he won't even make an effort to buy condoms? Seems like that would just make it easier for him. Also, I would never have a child out of wedlock. And it will be four years in May (we've broken up maybe 20 times).

I'm not going to comment on the stability or quality of your relationship, or if you should stay in it or not, because really no one on yahoo answers can give you that answer, that's between him and you and maybe a counselor. however, if access to condoms is an issue, just tell him to buy condoms online. or buy them for him, there's no harm in that. at condomman.com you can buy 100 for $20. and that way he can never use that as an excuse again.

and just a quick response to the answer given by "shirkuh" - if you live in a middle eastern country where women are forced to wear clothing from head to toe and undergo ritualistic forced removal of the clitoris, then maybe you shouldn't be giving sex advice on yahoo answers, you ignorant savage.

he seems immature... he should be man enough to go buy condoms without feeling embarassed. tell him how you feel & ask him if he'd be comfortable w/ different kinds of protection. remember though, only condoms protect against STI's. good luck .. and set him straight =\

Condom efficacy against AIDS must not be exaggerated. It does not guarantee protection.

Condoms are very "strangling" for men. I would NEVER use them. Among many men, a guy who always wears a condom is a WUSSY. I believe many women may even find him weak-charactered.
