Why is it that a lot of the showers in NYC apartments have the showerheads placed against the opposite wall than usual showerheads? I mean they're not placed at the end of the tub, they're right in the middle of the tub, along the wrong wall so you can barely move when you bathe. Does this seem retarded to anyone else? i.e. http://newyork.craigslist.org/brx/abo/281942926.html

Many NYC apartments are subdivided from larger apartments. Many others are in very old buildings in which bathrooms were originally shared by multiple units & individual bathrooms were added afterwards to meet later building codes. This results in some very odd plumbing & pipe runs & creative solutions by plumbing fixture installers.

Most New York faucets/showerheads are placed at the end of the tub (the tub in the picture has no wall at the end to place those fixtures). You want to complain about something? How about those water-saving toilets the City paid the landlords $250 apiece to replace. If you have to flush three times to get rid of a piece of paper, you are not saving water.

Ive lived in the Bronx and Queens and my apartments have always had the shower head in the middle instead of at the end of the shower. Ive never had a problem taking a shower, deal with it.

And no $925 for a fordham rd apartment is not too much. That's an awesome deal.

Wow, that's wierd, not that way in the Brooklyn apartments I stayed in. It probably has something to do with the age of the building.

And yes $925 seems a tad much for a one-bedroom in the Bronx...

$925's kinda high for a one bedroom in the Bronx isn't it?

I'd prefer the faucet in that spot on the tub. Could turn the water off without having to lean all the way up to your feet.

Just one apartment that someone probably made by cutting part off another one. Not all apartments are like that. Only crappy ones

notify your landowner and make him get the water lower back... its a necessity for existence tell him that and if he does no longer take criminal action, in the mean time try filling the nice and snug water in buckets and in line with hazard putting it into the refrigerator
