gondowanaland is the term that was used to define the piece of land in the times of the great drift (geography-history) when the earth was one huge chunk of land surrounded by water. i comprised of south america, africa and india and australia. soon they broke off because of copression and expansion of the earth surfaces thus forming what we refer to as the current africa, south america, india and australia. that is why you might find some species of monkeys on the left side of africa also existing on the right side of south america!! its that interesting! i also reccomend you go through the basics of high school geography to find out more.
