What is going on? Some Pastors or Ministers are commiting adultery and having sex with women in the Congregation, then there is Priests fondling little boys and taking money from the church for their Luxury and God know what else.

I know about a youth Pastor who got an attractive teenage (17) girl pregnant.

These are church leaders, Teachers of the word of God, This is not right.

Nothing out of the ordinary is going on, its always been..for centuries!!... with the modern times, modern laws and education, religious "leaders" no longer hold sway to the minds of the public. In the old days, due to lack of education, fear tactics were used to scare the common man into submission, religion was mystified with superstition and threats of Divine Judgement if these religious leaders are questioned. Those were the days where reading and writing was not a necessity but a luxury.

As society grows, so too the intellectual prowess of the people to discern and analyse for themselves, what is truly divine and what is just ridiculous. With powers of authority going more for the people, Autocratic tyranism masked by abuse of Holy Texts has greatly diminished in power, thus, fear no more grips the mind of people. With education, Confusion no longer clouds their judgement.... and the power of the People... and their civil rights are properly enforced....

King or Peasant, Priest or Heathen, President or Goat-Herder... all are equal in the eyes of the Law... so confidence that their "charges" and "complaints" won't be used to against them in return ( like Salem witch hunts ) also grows.... so more people are willingto step up and do the right thing.

My "little theory" on that is that the closer you are to God, the closer the Devil moves to you - ot turn you away from God. There's a saying I once heard in an African community that "Where God builds a church, the Devil builds a temple"
that is why great pastors & priests are falling becasue they are constantly being pursued by evil.not that it's an excuse they can use, but it's my reasoning over why there is so much sin in the chruch these days

The religions have been like this for thousands of years however, in the past it's been more easily swept under the carpet. The religious leaders have one set of rules and they make another set of rules for the followers. If you think that priests who were molesting children really believed that there is a man living in a cloud watching over everything a person does then, I'd like to sell you the Brooklyn Bridge.

In the past such activities were hushed up and never talked about.I don't think it is that morality has declined as much as it is that people are more open to discuss such issues. Some topics such a, teen pregnancy, domestic violence and homosexuality were taboo subjects. It was like burying your head in the sand.I agree it just seems so much worse if these acts are performed by people in a position of trust. These people were truly not doing God's work but satisfying their own selfish needs.

I think you answered your own question - they are being EXPOSED. These things always happened. If you look at the popes during the middle ages, you will see that a lot of them were murderers, rapists, and just plain criminals.
The reason you hear about these things now, is because we live in an age of communication. People are less afraid to come out and tell what happened. The news spreads faster. The difference is not in the behavior, but only in how much we hear about it.

Remember Lucifer himself shows himself as an angel of light. he is the master of deception and has infiltrated the church. For all you have to do is look at pictures of Pope John Paul the II and see him sitting in chairs w/ upside down crosses, you can watch Preachers on TV giving the hand symbol for Lucifer while praying, you can even see our own President giving this hand sign over and over again. They all believe in a god alright....just the wrong one, Lucifer.

The bible is very clear for the end times....saying that there will be items exactly as you see happening today. And its gonna get worse still. For before the end comes, days like Noah will be upon us.

These are not True teachers of the word of God, & the reason you are seeing more & more now, is that God is going to expose all that is not True Christians, Because all will be judged accordingly, God will let the world see the fake ones & also let his True Saints shine out.

"For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God; and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator" (1 Peter 4:17-19).

Yes, you are right, as a believer in the word of God this is all signs that the coming of Christ is near. Don't worry about what they are doing, prepare your own heart. Pray for others, that their hearts will be right in time. What is going on with them is Satan is using them, and tarnishing their testimonies, so that those who are lost in their sin feel justified.

This sin has been going on for a very long time. It just wasn't talked about in the way it is now. Now, I'm glad to say, people are getting up more courage and telling of these wrongs.
