I was really shocked to hear the fact that the case of rape and killing of innocent Iraqi that the US troops are acused of in relation to Abeer Quassim al-Janabi is one of the several in which the US troops acused of. I can't realy comprehened what it means. How can a soldier with reasonable level of high school eductaion and who also have got the opportunity to see and enjoy the fruit of development can be turned in to evil who just act barbanic and discared every value his family, friends and his nation attached to humanity and decency. Live alone the spiritual value of mankind that his forefathers might have known, or at least it is written all over the DOLLAR that they trus in God. How can one justify the act of members of the 101 air born division of US army with a mission of setting order and peace causing untold suffering to the poor Iraqi people. I am a father of two and a born again christian pray that no US soldier to come near them for any reason.

There is no perfect system. Every barrel has a few bad apples. ETC, ETC There are 2 things you don't seem to realize.
1) While some of these charges are true some of them are lies spread by our enemies to cause chaos in our ranks.
2) When we catch those soldiers who break the law we try them and punish them.
As a father of two maybe you should consider thanking our soldiers who are fighting and dying for our freedoms.
As a born again Christian perhaps you should pray for the strength to resist judging the whole military for the actions of a few.

What these imply to me is the frustration of a clash in cultures. We are there no matter how we got there and are trying to make the situation right.

We have been there longer than we needed to defeat either Germany or Japan, because of the low grade type conflict. The cultural barriers do not provide for a way for the in country troop on the ground to depressurize and relax, much the same as in Vietnam in the late 60's.

My daughter married a Navy person, he has completed his tour, part of which included the middle east. It is unpleasant over there.

For you to take the position that you hope no US military person comes near them for any reason, gives me wonder. Do you stop you children from reading because there are bad books? How about no TV or movies.

As a retired civil servant from DoD, I can tell you from personal experience that most American uniformed people are fine upstanding citizens, and on a percentage basis you will find fewer "bad apples " in the ranks of the military than in the American society as a whole.

Make your choice, you can either accept the fact that war is hell (and we are in a war) or stick your head in the sand.

You can also take a look at the atrocities we have stopped, Do you want gas chambers like in WWII Germany for all born again Christians? The radical Islamists would and the where would you be? Screaming for the Screaming Eagles to rescue your kids

You're talking about an isolated incident. You cannot point fingers at the entire 101st Airborne Division for the crimes of a few deviant men. There have been such crimes commited by troops all throughout the history of warfare. War isn't a pleasant thing, and people cannot expect it to be sanitized this time. If these soldiers were caught and court martialed, then the military did their job.

And what do you mean by "poor Iraqi people"? These "poor Iraqi" people are the ones who are torturing and killing captured American soldiers. Do you think the parents of those soldiers love their kids any less? There are over 3200 dead US soldiers who gave their lives trying to free these "poor" Iraqi people, who are ungrateful to say the least! My sympathy goes with the soldiers, not the Iraqis. If they cared about their own country, they would help themselves.

I'm a born-again Christian too, but I think you have your priorities messed up.

I don't believe it propaganda by the media, Not American here Irish but when I say what the US army where doing to the Iraq prisoners there abusing then and setting dogs on them etc. The world was shocked and applaud at this behavior. Remember Vietnam sadly loads of women there where raped during the war there. Thank God our country is neutral here. Only domestic flights from the states are allowed here. But any planes which have weapons for Iraq are not allowed into Irish airspace or land here for refulled etc. But the got into trouble here when the Irish police got a tip of at Shannon Airport that prisoners where on so called domestic flight from Iraq landing at Shannon, the Irish police found that the US were lying and they had prisoner handcuffed to the seats on the plane. So been on Irish soil they had to let the prisoners off the plane here, an order by the Irish government minister it was on our TV showing the prisoners walking off the plane. Next day the US embassy wouldn't issue a statement I wonder why?

99 percent of all those who serve in a combat zone do so honorably. There are bad apples in the military just as there are in the "real" world. Why does a army soldier throw a grenade into the tent of fellow Americans and kill them? Why does a man kill his children? Why do people drive cars with explosives drive into crowds and detonate them? Why did Hitler invade Poland? Why can't we all just get along? WAAAAH.

If you are a Christian, then you understand God allows us to have free will. Some soldiers "snap" under the pressure and the temptation gets to them. This is by no means sanctioned by the military and is dealt with swiftly and sternly.

I can say this with some confidence, you have no real experience in life and don't have any persepective. Am I right? Have you ever served your country? Doubt it. Decide what team you are on friend and join it. But don't be a mamby pamby weak sister. Why would Cain kill his only Brother Abel? Because God gave us the ability to choose right and wrong and we (all of us) are sinners and hypocrites. If an American fighting man rapes a girl of a country we are fighting in, he should be jailed for an extremely long time or executed. Not only for the crime he commited but because he makes weak sisters like you, feel guilty and confused. Get with the program loser. Seriously, reach down and grab ahold. I can hear your whining, nasily voice, "why aren't the puppy dogs outside right now, because America is bad... I am bad... oh my...Maybe Barak Hussein Obama can solve our problems, I did see him in glamour magazine so he can't be all that bad. And then because I voted for him, I won't feel guilty for being born white, because white people had slaves, oh my.... I really am bad aren't I?"

Chump.

It implies that in any group or sub-culture, there will be some people with evil motives who do evil things....including in churches.
It does not mean that all soldiers are rapists and murderers any more than all ministers are maniacs and pedophiles.

P.S. I'm a former Air Force aerial gunner AND a born-again Christian.

There are a few bad people in all societies. We prosecute them when this happens.

It's not the norm among US soldiers. Compared to the number of troops we have rotated in and out of this country, that number is minute to say the least. In the 10's if that many.

That this is army is a looser army, look at Vietnam. Rummy and Dick delievered the Pentagon into the hand off profit-greedy private companies and "security" companies and these company are'nt under influence of the government. The smal once are being hanged, the big parasite got away, - and this will kill all moral in the "army" of the falling empire.

Americans have no respect for the outside world. They are raised in an environment of social arrogance and prejudice and putting tens of thousands of ill-informed recruits, most of them with a complete lack of cultural knowledge (in this case of iraqi culture, arabic language and islamic religion) is bound to cause a sizeable amount of chaos.

I hope i live to see the day when this situation is reversed and the Americans are the ones who are opressed by foreign military occupations.

Instead of letting a soldier near your kids, you should instead have them be alter boys for the Catholic church. Or maybe you should move to Iraq and burry your head in the sand with the "poor Iraqi people." Get real!
