There are gay animals, and I fail to see how two people who love eachother are against anyone's morals or are hurting anyone.

martha d, diseases are spread just as easily through heterosexual sex as homosexual sex. And the safe use of condoms and other forms of protection makes this a non-issue. More heterosexual females get aids than homosexuals of either gender.

Fear always finds a foundation. Whether that foundation is made of rock or of sand is often a matter of perspective. Sand is just rock that has given up its stubborness after all. After all, the heart of the message in the Bible is Unconditional Love. Period. It is such a radical idea that it is still freaking people out. They think it can't be that simple or something.

They don't have the Bible to stand on, either.

Do you see anti-gay-rights homophobes loudly opposing anyone's right to eat pork or wear mixed-fiber clothing? Both (plus much more) are forbidden right alongside the verses they claim forbid homosexuality.

There are blessed homosexual unions in the Bible. Most Christians don't know that since they've never read the entire thing. You know people have invented their own God when he conveniently hates or disapproves of the same people they do.

Those who think homosexual people can't reproduce are idiots. Millions of gay people have children. The plumbing still works just fine - all they need is an able/willing partner of the opposite sex and a turkey baster. Sex with each other is not necessary for heterosexual OR homosexual people in order to cause a pregnancy. Duh.

Yes, it just ain't right.

I will say this once. Please listen...

Gays have the same rights as anyone in the US except the ability to get married. They can say anything they want, do anything, go anywhere, live with each other and so on. A person does not need be married to have health insurance. Anyone can buy life insurance and choose who is the beneficiary. As well as retirement plans.

And even have the right to say you are gay, kiss in public, tell people it is OK to be that way, flaunt your sexuality public and have parades.

And even protest and speak out that you are some how being deprived of rights you already actually have.

Nobody really cares. Please enough with this crap. Live your lives the way you want to and quit hollering for stuff you already got. There are many more important matters in this world that need to be taken care of.

Personally, I can't see how someone can oppose rights a person already has.

It is rather funny that a group that gets bashed all the time will lower themselves to bash Christians. Maybe keeping ones self above all that would make a better case for their argument.

Tell me what rights that gay people don't have other than the fact that they can't get married? Are you people really still bitching about that? Get over it; this country has bigger issues, go whine over something else.

You act like gay people aren't treated as Americans.

A gay person can do anything he or she please, say whatever they want, etc. There is no law that says gay people can't be gay. Wake up, people.

As far as taking away the Bible as a crutch for some, go ahead.

There's still no denying that we simply weren't designed to be queer. There are male reproductive organs and female reproductive organs and they work together for a reason.

It's called logic, not morals.

Here's an idea. Instead of fighting for "rights of gay people", why not devote that time to something more productive, like educating yourself on current events. You obviously could brush up on them.

Have a great day.

Remember, not all homophobes are religious - conversly - not all Christians are homophobic.

As a Christian, I also feel that a separation of government and religion is essential. Does that mean values should be withdrawn, of course not. But it does mean I give others the same level of respect that I would desire.

I don't feel the government has any business mixing the religious nature of marriage and the civic nature of legal unions. Marriage has been muddied up. In my view, it is a religious institution that has been perverted by legalistic attachments.

What I feel most outspoken Christians should realize is that Christ called the religious leaders of His day "vipers" and embraced sinners. In the scheme of things, government isn't important in the affairs of the spirit - and when people who don't have strong faith try to build faith by imposing beliefs on others - they'll probably find they fail in the process.

Should gays be allowed to marry - of course. I think divorce is a far greater threat to traditional marriage and values than homosexuals.

It is contrary to natural law and reason. The homosexual should not be denied rights or love. Yet, man's law should not be used to justify or assert a naturalness or reasonableness that does not exist, even if the contrary state is quite common. Many defects can be seen in nature, but this is no justification. Acknowledgement of this is not fear. Labeling those who do not agree with homosexual special interest political activism as homophobes is a transparent form of bullying. Shame on them! Even if is is occasionally true in the cases of persons that fear any unknown, it should be a pitiable thing, not a cause for anger.

What does the Bible have anything to do with....NOTHING! Its nothing more than a history book. Written by a collection of various persons over a vast span of time. Some of the accounts are of the same occurance just a different persons experience on it. Plus it was rewritten by wealthy, ruller who had their own agendas of controling the masses. Something that still goes on today!
If you want REAL truth study the teachings of the GREAT SAGES, Budda, KRSNA, Jesus, Yogananda and Deganawidah. Just to name a few.

They all give the same message.....LOVE is the answer.
Also that ALL the answers are within!
Love who ever you want. Heaven is just a state of mind NOT a location!

Well let's carry this to the absurd case. If all males mated with males and females mated with females what would happen to the human race?

Take the Bible out of this debate, fine. What say you of evolution that for some reason that man has the evil desire of a man to want and be with a woman. Is that wrong? No. Why? So human life can continue.

One of these lifestyles is a relationship that will end ones own particular unique seed to go forth and be recreated on this earth. It will end the centuries long survival of your genetic code that was given to you from generation to generation. That's not significant to you?

I think the biological argument works against the homosexual's and a hetrosexual lifestyle in animals is what you see exist throughout all nature beisides man.

No. The bible doesn't say anything about it to begin with, so they don't have anything period. There has been studies which document the fact that the "Gay phenomenon" comes from natures way of keeping the numbers down naturally. You can see it in EVERY animal. It is natural selection.

Yes. Consider that anal and oral sex can be extremely dangerous from a bacterial standpoint. It can also be dangerous among hetrosexuals thus the spread of vd. Center for Disease Control in Atlanta shows increases of sexual disease of 200% per year. This does not include the explosion of the AIDS virus throughout the world.
