i know butter is basically made from milk. i sort of know its process. but how is cheese made, what is the basic difference between them?

Anyway, Cheese is a solid food made from the milk of cows, goats, sheep, and other mammals. Cheese is made by curdling milk using a combination of rennet (or rennet substitutes) and acidification. Bacteria acidify the milk and play a role in defining the texture and flavor of most cheeses. Some cheeses also feature molds, either on the outer rind or throughout.

Good,so the source of butter is known,now ,the source of cheese is the same.Milk fat is churned till fat globules adhere together to give a solid mass of butter,while.Cheese is milk solidified by mixing with rennet & other enzymes ,when solid,the whey is drained,salt & other additives are mixed in,it is set in moulds & usually undergoes a process of maturation,before reacing the consumer.

Butter is basically pure milkfat and cheese is fermented whole milk mixed with enzymes and salt to thicken.
