in all seriousness, if you feel like you are out of control with your eating, and your life in general.. i suggest seeing a professional psychologist or something similar, because something like this can lead to worse things like depression. it's not a diet you need, it's guidance and support to get back on your feet and feel confident in your life. good luck with everything, please get the support you need.

You've taken the first step of losing weight, talking about it. The bad news is, no diet will make you feel better or healthier. The good news is, exercise is not just lifting weights or running around the room. The better part might be like a laundry day...gather laundry in a pile or basket, walk 'n' carry laundry to be cleaned--downstairs then up--or from one side of the house to another...you are exercising by moving. My next advise is to only eat apples or something low in carbs, after 6:00 P.M. Nothing else, aside from drinking liquids. Got the munchies-eat an apple, so on and so forth. Realize that if you are doing this for you, eat healthier, sleep the 8 hours, fit 10-15 minutes of moving around until time is up...a couple times a week (Best time is when you really don't want to), and increase it gradually. Doctor check up would help, too. It's not a matter of diets or pills, or whatever, it's changing old habits to new habits or routine's. Take care

Sounds like you have an addiction to food. I was the same way for the majority of my life (I'm 28 now).I was ALWAYS eating. Whether I was hungry or not. I had spent a lot of time at home during my child hood and so I spent quite a bit of time in front of the tv and in the kitchen. Then one day in my sophomore year, I had decided I had had enough. I remember I was watching an Oprah show about her weight loss(after she got her trainer) and it was like a light bulb had went off. I taught myself to stop stuffing myself, eat til I'm satisfied. Don't eat unless your actually hungry. And of course I had cut out all the junk food(fats, sweets) It was hard as hell at first. Definitely since I lived in a house where there was always cakes and cookies and something was always frying on the stove. But it became easier over time. I had also was taking a dance class at the time, which helped a great deal. So, I had went from 210 to 135!
So, I believe that you can do whatever you set your mind to. You just gotta have some will power and stay focused. Don't get discouraged. There were many times I wanted to give up because the pounds weren't coming off as quickly as I wanted. But I just stuck with it. There's lots of support on line that you can check out. Hope this helped you some. Good Luck!

Dieting alone never works. You NEED excercise as well. When trying to loose weight, you need to burn more calories than you take in. Start running, or if that's too much start walking, but do it EVERY day. Don't take any days off, make the time, either in the morning or at night. Start with a mile, then after two weeks make it a mile and a half, and keep setting goals and sticking too them. Then after you get use to it, start jogging, then running. Also, find something you enjoy that takes excercise. If you like to golf, it's a great way to burn calories as long as you don't drive a cart.

Snack food is also very important because you seem to crave food all the time. First NO FAST FOOD. Keep healthy foods with you when you're driving. Don't stock your kitchen with crap food either. And cut out soda if you drink it.

If none of this works, consult a doctor. They can give you good advice on what to do. Just remember that you ARE in control of the situation, and you either take care of the issue or be content with who you are and live like that for the rest of your life. It's your decision.

Here are the basics to losing weight:
1) Cut Calories
2) Lift Weights
3) Cardio Workouts
You don't have to drastically cut your calories to lose weight. If you take in 5-6 thousand a day, cut it to 3,000. DO NOT DRINK SOFT DRINKS. Even the diets are bad for you. They imitate sugar and raise your insulin output which makes you hungry. I recomment drinking diet green tea and water.
Lifting weights puts on lean muscle mass which helps you burn calories. Plus, the process of rebuilding the muscle you break down while lifting will burn calories and fat while you sleep!
Cardio just gives you a boost. It cuts away calories while you do it.
Have fun losing weight. I'm in the middle of losing it myself. I've lost 20 pounds in the last two months by doing what I just told you. Also, start getting men's health magazines. There are some very helpful tips in them!

Sounds like you have a food addiction as well as an Eating Disorder called "Compulsive overeating disorder". They're now saying that more people have this than anorexia/bulimia. You could also be on the way to getting Type 2 diabetes. Which could be trying to come along, and making you very hungry/thirsty. I would go see my PCP.

You don't have to eat less, just make sure your ratios on your different foods are balanced. Like make sure you eat as much vegetables and fruits as you eat meat or something (if possible, try to eat fast food rarely/never, it always helps).

By the way, it takes a long time for there to be a difference, so don't expect results very soon after trying my advice.

And yeah, don't worry too much about this, because the more you worry, the harder it will be for you.

Look, dude, to motivate yourself, you have to act first, and think later- motivation starts with action, not with thinking.

Sloooow down your eating- wait 30 seconds between bites. Park far away from wherever you are going- and take the stairs. If you forget something at home or the office when you get to your car say to yourself "walking is good for you" and walk back to get it.

Have lots of pears and salad around. They take a long time to eat, and pears are low on the glycemic index. Remember- only positive thoughts will help. Nothing negative. Calm and positive.

First, let me tell you not to get discouraged. I like to eat too. You just have to know what. Add more fruit and veggies to your diet. You can eat as much as you want and it's low calorie and only a trace amount of fat in some. If you have a burger, instead of fries eat a piece of fruit. Water instead of soda. If you have to have a soda switch it for diet. Make some sort of healthy change to your diet every day; and before you know it you will see results..Hang in there! It will happen.
