This could be a sign of depression. But before you go off and clench on to that label, remember its ok to cry. Especially in your teens. YOur hormones are going 90 to nothin and your emotions are trying to keep up.

Try starting a journal or notebook. When you feel yourself start to cry, write down teh thoughts that you are having in it, no matter how silly or stupid you think they are. when you have calmed down. go back over and re-read them. see if a pattern starts to occur. like , gosh i cry every time i talk to jane. or i get so upset when i have to come home from school cause mom wont get off my case. etc.

you can work through it. just dont wallow in it. seek help from the school nurse or a teacher when you are stuck.

Hope this helps

Have you had anything happen to you recently like a death in the family? Sometimes you dont necissarly need to think about something in order to start crying about it.

Are you going through allot of stress at school? Finals maybe, relationship issues?

Do you ever feel guilty about something before or during? Angry? Maybe you're grades aren't all that well and you try your hardest but you just feel hopelessness If any of these then you could be BiPolar.

I'm 34, happy and educated. I cry. This sounds like something I could bug my dad with..."dad? do ya cry?" Sometimes I cry for no apparent reason but it doesn't make me feeble. For me (important) it means I am neglecting my sleep or I am not paying attention to stuff that I need to feel about. You know how you want to feel sad but it's not appropraite? Your at work or making out and tears aren't on the menu? Don't hold back when ya wanna let fly the eye water.

If you find that you're happy most of the time and this happens, it's most likely to be the cause of underlying issues that youre ignoring in your life or issues you haven't dealt with... No matter how much you try to block out the bad stuff, they always seem to creep their way back into the picture, so your best bet is to search yourself for issues that you try to ignore and haven't dealt with then face the issues head on and try to find positive solutions to the problems or admit to guilty feelings and move on. You'll be a better and happier person for doing it.

First off - Big hug for ya.

You feel that way because you're a woman. Depressed or not, you are experiencing a flood of hormones, and as a result, a flood of emotions and feelings that don't make sense. That's just part of being human.

Just stay healthy. Eat the right kind of food - stay away from the junk you are tempted to eat. Exercise, as tempting as it may be to be inactive. Try to find healthy outlets for social behavior, with you peers, with people who are older than you, and even with people who are younger than you. Keeping yourself exposed to all age groups will do amazing things for your understanding of people and life.
Best of luck to you - be happy because life is beautiful.

Yeah sure. It happens sometimes because all we do is cope and try to ignore the things and thoughts that bother us. It's ok to cry and release the anger and fears.

You are experiencing depression....If this keeps going on I would suggest you ask your parents to make you an appointment to go see a counselor....and don't be embarassed by this it is part of life...you want to get this taken care of....trust me .... I have had it for 10 years now because i failed to do anything about it up until 3 years ago.....do something before it gets worse.....good luck to you and keep your chin up:)

you should just be glad that you are 17 years old and at the same time a teen....i'd hate to be a 17 year old who wasn't a teen...that would be really awkward
