My Grandpa just told me he got some Grape Nuts and seemed really depressed. I'm worried that this could be a serious medical condition, but I went to WebMD and couldn't find anything on the condition. What did he mean when he said he got Grape Nuts and what can I do to help him?

I have no idea what grape nuts are and i am a nurse but one thing i do know is our aging population need to be loved and cared for respected and need to feel useful and wanted .. they suffer depression more then we know ! get your grandpa some help or get him into some kind of activity if he is capable make him know there is still life after we get old !!! Well I certainly hope so or I am never retiring ! and most of all let him know you love him and that you have time for him ! Share this concern to your parents as well together a family can do wonders !

Try to research some more on the internet or ask him about...what he meant by "grape nuts". I think that's only his expression for something that he cannot say in public. I think a private part or something. Try to discover first and then ask the expert or somebody who knows it. Clear it out what's the meaning of grape nuts.

I would ask him what he meant by that.. Grape Nuts is a cereal! But perhaps he was trying to come up with a cute phrase for hemmorhoids :)
