I love to watch the Nascar races, but I so sick of seeing Junior repeatedly I could vomit. Am I the only one that feels that way?

Jr fans, the asker of this question is NOT attacking Dale Earnhardt Jr, merely pointing out that there is an undeniable bias in the coverage of our favorite sport. I don't have anything against Jr., he's a good driver and likable enough of a person. What I don't like is the fact that there are so many talented drivers and race teams that don't get the exposure they deserve because of all the attention focused on Jr. I fear it won't get any better as the media and NASCAR in general only seem to be concerned about ratings now days. Not throwing the caution at Daytona is an example, dramatic finish=high ratings but it was not in the best interest of the drivers' safety. Now we will have to get bombarded with the whole contract situation, at the expense of real racing news, until it's resolved.

Ok. I said it once and I will say it again. The media doesnt care what you or we want to see covered. They are going to cover what they want, when they want, and how they want. If something comes on that you dont like, then change the channel or put it on mute. I think they put alot of coverage on Jr in the races because he is always in the mix trying to get up front.

Well hope you didn't buy the DIRECT-TV NASCAR HOTPASS then... Looks like they are going to be showing Junior on 1 of the 5 channels every damn race weekend.. It's ridiculous.. I'd rather see the thing in Morgan Shephard or Kirk Shelmerdines car then in Jr's every weekend!

I dont feel like they show alot of JR. I dont feel like there was alot on him at Daytona. But what kills me is that people dislike Dale because he has alot of exposer. Its not his fault y'all, he's just a race car driver, he's not controlling the camera's. Fact is he is a talented driver that has to live in a shadow that he'll never be able to fully get out of and shoes he'll never be able to completely fill. Expect to hear alot about him, especially with his contract being up at the end of the year.

They don't keep the camera on Jr. Also it's not like he's going "hey keep the camera on me, i'm the best driver here." I have been watching NASCAR for quite sometime now and I very rarely see JR hogging the camera. Pay more attention to your driver and you'll see him more.

You probably are the only one or at least a minority. If you go to a race, the majority of the crowd is dressed in Jr. red.....He is very popular.
