What is the Las Vegas Nevada rule on the age the child can decide which parent they prefer to live with ?
The child is stating that the other parent is neglecting the younger siblings when all the time is spent by that parent surfing the web or playing online poker. the house is a mess, dirty clothes everywhere, smokes in the house when children are present.
is running a n unlisenced day care at home.
Someone please help...the child has already stated about running away or doing something worse to herself.

I have to agree with the consensus here... it's 12 in the United States as far as I know. A child is old enough to decide and talk to the judge about where he/she wants to live. Also I'd definitely be finding myself a good lawyer..... GOOD LUCK!! I have a question on here now about my daughter... who's living with my ex and he now has FULL custody!

It depends on the state, county and judge. Some say 12 others say 13 or 14. I really believe they look at each case on it's merits. If there is that big of a problem in the home why not make a call to children's services? Or to the school? Or even the police.

It's not up to a child to make such decisions, but it sounds like you have to make one about turning your ex in.
