Prilosec OTC...how many days for heartburn relief?

I have GERD and get severe esophageal spasms that cause stabbing pain. Doctor told me to take Prilosec and I am wondering when I can expect relief.

It depends. I also have GERD and it took several days before I actually felt relief. Just hang in there. You will start feeling better.

l've used this for about 2 months never had heartburn, so now l'm careful on spicy foods, now l seldom use it
