I put a (human) pedometer on my small dog and I was wondering if he walks to much or too little.

I want like a step count to compare to the pedometer.

I walk my small dogs 2 or more miles a day. They live for their walks. I have taken them on 10 mile hikes on steep mountain trails with 200 foot drop offs and people passing by cant believe it. Little dogs are tough as nails. No pedometer by the way.

It depends what type of small dog you have. Terriers, like jack russells, need to go for really long walks throughout the day. Whereas certain toy breeds, usually won't go for such long walks.
