Unfortunately, you're not going to be able to find him without spending some money... especially if he doesn't want to be found.

You could start by following some of the steps used by adopted individuals trying to find their birth parents. See the source link for some decent information.

It would be much easier, though, if you can get your mom (or possibly your grandparents) to help. You could try playing the health angle... that you need to know more about your father in case there are hereditary diseases that you need to know about. Also, you could start by trying to find your father's parents. Your mom might be more likely to help you get into contact with your grandparents.

Good luck.

You don't say where you are located. If people posting replies to help you knew your location some of them may be able to help and give you good advice. It sounds as though you may not be in the UK. I can offer advice if you are in the UK. There are some suggestions I can make which probably apply wherever you are .. local newspapers and phone in radio programmes if you think he lives somewhere in the area in which you are living. You could also write about your search and post your story to one or two magazines .. some of the magazines might pay you for your story ... have a look at magazines and pick ones that publish stories about family problems.

yes i think you do have a right to know but maybe not,
maybe something is behind it all that's why your mother won't tell you but try and convince your mother to tell you or maybe ask uncles or aunties to help you out.

i was in the same situation and i know how you feel.....
i found out 2 years ago when i was 16 when my mum said she needs to talk 2 me and i found out my father is dead but don't give up try and try and try !!!!!!!
God bless and take care Good luck as well peace out :)

if you know where he went to school... look on the classmates.com website and see if he is registered... you can always email people that may have known him... you can leave messages on the boards to let him know you are looking for him

you can find out where his parents are or the town he grew up in and put a message in the paper... his brothers or sisters or cousins etc will all know where he is and if they see the messages in the paper they will probably pass your message on... Good Luck

Sweetie, sometimes it is not about money... If someone is avoiding you... you can never find them, no matter how much you spend.

He might just near you... when the time comes, he might just appear without searching.

Good luck with your search!

ask your mother for help!
then find out about child support, if he paid it or not that will give you his name.
