I began digging myself a hole where i only hated life, myself & ppl, but as I grew older I began drinking 2 escape, weekend were looked 4ward 2 only 2 wait 4 that first drink & get trashed 2 throw life away. Beginning & introducing drugs in2 my life only caues more problems then started w/. Having my addictions take part of me I began failing at work, school, disrupting my family, hurting my loved ones, & killing myself, which was the only part I enjoyed doing. Knowing how unresponsible & unreliable ive become at work, im afraid of being fired. Not completing highschool & not having motivation will only hold me back in applying 4 colleges. Affecting my family beginning 2 cause them on giving up & throwing me out, im worried if happened i may hurt myself more 2 the point of death. Knowing the hell ive put myself in2 & how must it will take 2 get my life back, i dont want my life for i want death instead.

Dear your an addict and you in need of treatment. Been there and if you don't get help and get it quick you will throw you future away your family away and your to important, and first you have to change your friend and where you hang out and stop using. It a lot easier said than done but I did it an so can you millions have done it. You have to hit rock bottom sometimes before you or anyone wakes up your not alone there are very successful people who are in treatment. God bless you and good luck. You seem to be lashing out at those on here as if they were your parents and never acknowledging any answers as helpful. My advice to you is that you are a danger to yourself and are in a dysfunctional family of alcoholics and are addicted to alcohol and drugs yourself. So you need to call the National suicide prevention Lifeline, 1-800-273-TALK. NOW!
If you don't think you are in CRISIS type "suicide prevention" into Yahoo! search and a number of links will come up. One of them is an organization under "Adolescent suicide prevention" and they have a toll free number 1-877-700-3300. They offer info and even transport for those in crisis but they are probably not local.

STOP being so hard on yourself, you do have a lots of problems but if you continue to hate your self your on the road to nowhere. Addiction is horrible, my daughter put me through hell with her addiction to gambling she will be 35 soon and has come to a place where she can just about manage it, she has become aware of what triggers her off. She has come to me hating herself and I have said that was today, live with what you have done and try harder tomorrow. You seem deeply distressed and you need to address that as soon as you are able. I know what you are saying about wanting to escape, we all feel like that, some of us are lucky and can go on holiday and escape others of us escape into whatever is available and when you find that escape and enjoy the place you want to go back again.First of all learn to love you and go from there .I wish you all the luck, take care.

It's never too late to make changes. If you are concerned about your family, consider how they would feel if you died...when you are depressed it seems like no one cares but that isn't true. Have you seen a doctor or therapist? It can really help...it helped me. I know something about the hell of addiction from people close to me. Please don't give up.
