Love is a bonus, but mostly they just want to come to the US for financial reasons. Can you blame them?

Yes, it is true. The primary reason for this is because of the large ratio of women to men in Russia. The lopsided ratio is because during the previous wars, so many men were killed, and so many women were left behind with no boyfriends or husbands. Because there aren't as many guys to pick from, they are looking elsewhere, and because of the freedoms we have here in the US, they are more likely to want to find love here.
There are always exceptions and some women may be looking to find someone here strictly for a green card, but many of the ladies from Russia hold traditional values and are truly searching for love.
