Corned beef is salt cured beef. Much of the fat in beef is "marbled" throughout the meat so it is not possible to cut it off. Even after trimming the outer fat, the remaining meat is 25-30 percent fat. This means there are two reasons why corned beef is bad for your health.
1. It is salty and too much salt will raise blood pressure and leads to heart disease.
2. It is fatty and the type of fat is called saturated fat which is very bad for your health. Too much beef in the diet can lead to heart disease, obesity and colon cancer.

Most people don't like the things that provide good health such as raw vegetables, fruits, tofu, beans, nuts and very little salt, oil and sugar. This is why people in the U.S., although they have the highest technology in health care facilities, are not very healthy. They eat too much fat, salt, sugar and chemicals.

Even with all the good information from the American Heart Association and other good scientific data, we get a lot of counter-data from the beef industry. But who are you gonna believe: the folks who have a steak (funny, eh?) in selling you beef or the scientists who have no conection to any specific food industry.

Then there will always be the one person in a thousand who can eat junk, drink whisky and smoke cigarettes all his life and live to be 90. But that 1 in a thousand isn't exactly scientific evidence.

Research scientists have little to say about timing your eating of meat such as only for breakfast. Better health from eating meat early in the day is a popular folk belief in east Asia but it is not a scientific fact.
