My boyfriend and I just decided that we want to get married in the next yr. and a half. Then we decided we want a wedding in the mountains with just us and another couple as witnesses. How do I go about finding a ceremony spot online that is in the mountains.

You definitely want to search online something like moutain areas, or by a specific state. you can find anything online, once you find a place that looks good take a trip there to make sure... it is very hard to plan a wedding from long distance so keep that in mind.. i planned mine out of state and i about when nuts so somewhere local is less of a headache..i am sure you will pick a beautiful place... also from one former bride to be heres a useful web site http://www.weddinghelpers.com/... it has everything you need invitations, bridal accessorries etc. Hope this helps you and congrats on the engagement this is an exciting time in your life..
Best of luck

First find a general vicinity which you both like. Then do a web search for lodging or dining in that area call and find out what types of weddings they can accommodate. Also, if you can find a celebrant who works in that general area, the celebrant can suggest some nice places to get married, possibly some off the beaten track. Hope you find your special spot.

Take a vacation together to wherever it is you have in mind.
Take some time to scope out a few places, and make some new memories while you're there. Look for somewhere that will hold the wedding party and guests adequately, and not be so far out of the way of a reception. (Guests can get grumpy, but never forget, it's YOUR day, not theirs!)

I recommend Glacier National Park, if your near that area of the world.

Start be researching mountain areas near you. If they're part of the regional or national park system then they should have websites.

Find out some of the names of the places around you and research them on the internet. You could even call a few places about renting cabins, etc.

Second option . . ask a bear.

May sound crazy, but contact a few travel agents who are familiar with the mountains. If anyone should know, I feel they would!
