You don't need a credit card to buy a vehicle, unless you are using it to buy the car! Are you absolutely sure you have no credit rating?? Are you that young that you aren't paying any bills? Phone, cell phone, electricity, rent etc?? That may not be much, but it is something.
If you go into a dealership, I would go into a larger dealership because their access to different lending companies is greater.
I suggest you don't go into a dealership that is a buy here-pay here lot. Interest rates are very high usually.
Go into a dealership confident. Don't let them know you don't know. Let them run your credit and tell you. And don't buy into a payment...but into the price of the car.
If you appear unsure, they could take advantage of that fact.
Let them tell you you need a higher down payment or a co-signer to get a loan. Work out the best deal on the car, then work out what you can afford to pay a month if approved.
Good luck.

I would say a Credit Union but you would need a checking account for most of them. Try calling around some credit unions because they would still be lower in rates then a dealer ship. I have a 730 credit score and got a 6%APR but when i checked with a dealership they only could give me a 15% APR.

If you try some dealers and they say you need a co-signer even with a down payment. I would try going to a big volume dealer that specialize in first time buyers. You have to start your credit line somewhere.
