I do. It started out cute, but it quickly got really annoying. He's nuts about wanting to know exactly what I'm doing, who I'm talking to, and what time I'm going to be back. If I don't answer my cell phone the first time he calls (I live in an area with terrible reception, I'm not very good about making sure it's always charged, and sometimes I just leave it on a different floor of the house), he gets totally bent out of shape. He's constantly telling me that I shouldn't talk to this person, or I'm 'not allowed' to see that person. I actually have some friends that I have to keep secret from him so he doesn't flip out.

He acts like this because he is really, really insecure, and is trying to hide low self-esteem. I know that, but I don't know how to make him feel better about himself, and get him to back off a little. If anyone has any suggestions, I'm open to them!

I am a protective man. But not overly. I think I'm cute.

try "soon-to-be psycho"... I've had an overprotective boyfriend and it turned abusive. Get out of it now.
