They are like super charlie horses that last for ever it seems.I scream and cry like a baby, it's really embarrassing, but I have a great family who tries to help me with massages.

When u get the feeling that the cramp is coming, in the lying down position, try lifting up your leg high against the wall and meanwhile, also arch your toes backwards. Stay in this position for about 3mins. I tried this method and the cramp went away.

Also, u should avoid washing your feet with cold water at night. I encourage u to keep away from water at night for the time being. Keep your feet and hands dry. U can try putting on socks to keep your feet warm. Hope my tips will help u...

Hey, one thing you can do is eat bananas daily because it is rich in potassium. And it is okay to scream/cry at night when you have these. I hate leg cramps at night too, but I yell silently :). Just drink more water/gatorade and eat high potassium foods like banana.

Damn i used to get those all the time when i was in high school...horrible pain for sure...what i did was make sure to stretch the calf muscles as much as possible..use warm towels to help loosen them up..and sleep on your back with a pillow under your knees so they stay bent but not flexed...also food with alot of potassium, bannanas i remember most (because i hate them but ate them anyways) and they got less frequent..and finally stopped altogether...hope this helps!

When my wife was pregnant and get leg cramps she would get up from bed and start moving around. that seemed to help. she also ate a lot of bananas. Don't stretch your legs the cramps well just get worse.

Drink plenty of water and eat foods rich in potassium. If this continues I would strongly suggest mentioning this to your physician.
