that is a dumb commercial. Soup has a lot of sodium which means gaining water weight

yes you can but after a while you will get very sick of chicken noodles and eating them all day will most probably not give you any real sustenance.
You would be better off having chicken noodles once a week and supplementing your diet with other basic foods.
Have a decent breakfast.
a sandwich for lunch
and vegetables and salad for dinner.
and all washed down with water at least two litres a day
You will after a time lose weight but more sensibly than just eating chicken noodles.

Judge by the total caloric intake of how much chicken noodle soup you consume for that day.

no, actually you will become fatter becuase of all of the carbohydrates and fat in the noodles. What I recommend is eating tuna salad every day.
