As long as the hair is not going to get caught in machinery or endanger other workers in any way, you can wear your hair any way you like.

Neat and clean is always in style. How you wear it depends on the industry you are in. Ask your boss, or at the Personnel office. They can tell you what the policy is, and then it is up to you to obey those rules. By the way, if the company is large enough, and someone has something nasty to say, there are rules about that kind of activity. If a person, or several are making life difficult for you, tell your boss that whomever is making things unpleasant are creating a hostile work environment for you. If the boss is smart, it will stop. If not, then go to the personnel office. Just don't take care of it yourself.

It should be fine, unfortunately some people still have a problem with long hair for guys but as long as you keep it clean & neat you should be able to find a place that has no problem with it.

If you're working in the food service sector you might want to keep your hair short. If you do wear it long make sure you tie it back into a pony-tail or wear a hair net.

It depends upon where you will be working. If it is a more casual (show your style off kind of place then it sounds o.k.).
I don't know it just all depends. If you are comfortable with it, then I say make the best of it. Long hair can look professional as well.
