I want to thank everyone in advance for there input, I do know however that it does in fact take more than just belief to get to heaven. For all of you that know the Bible and live it God bless you. For all of those that read the Bible but do not live, for even the Devil knows the word of God, I suggest that you read and try your hardest to live it. Except Jesus into your heart, find a good church that you feel comfortable in, and TRUELY experience the power of God!!

no, I do not think that my belief alone will get me to Heaven. Belief is a big part, but repentence is another. I can not truly believe and be a promiscuous, adulterous, murderer. Understand what I'm saying? I must also try to live the life God wants me to live.

Even the devils believe, so that is insufficient. There must be faith with evidence of that faith.
But, by faith I mean the following:
Faith commences with the conviction of the mind based on adequate evidence; faith continues in the confidence of the heart or emotions based on conviction, and faith is crowned in the consent of the will, by means of which the conviction and confidence are expressed in conduct.
Key points:
Conviction of the Mind
Confidence of the Heart
Consent of the Will
Conduct of the Body
As you can see from the above, faith affects the whole of a person's nature. A person with this faith will do good works as evidence of their faith. Faith without works is dead just as the fig tree Christ cursed because it did not bear fruit.

Belief and faith could be two different things. The Bible tells that "By grace we are saved through faith...." By the grace of God through faith in Jesus and all He accomplished. Believing that there is/was such as Jesus won't save a person and be their way to Heaven. "I am trusting The Lord Jesus, trusting only Thee, Trusting Thee for full salvation, great and free." I could believe that the Earth is flat...I'd be wrong. I could believe that if I perfectly kept all the commandments I'd go to Heaven 1. We can't perfectly keep all the commandments. 2. I'd be wrong. It takes belief, faith, trust. love.....Jesus.

I don't. And I hope no one else does either because it will not. It is by grace that we are saved. There is none good, no not one. The Word Of God say that if you believe Jesus in your Heart and confess with your mouth that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. We are saved by the Blood of the Lamb. May God Bless U.

I think this verse in the Bible sums up your question very simply: "For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also." (James 2:26)
Sorry, but it takes MUCH more than just believing in God to get to Heaven.

God is the judger. If you ask for forgiveness and for your heart/invite the lord and walk with him. You can be a nice person and never steal and do wrong but you have to invite him into you. READ THE BIBLE AND YOU WILL SEE.

If thou shalt Confess with thy mouth, the LORD JESUS and believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, Thou shalt be saved.
Not by works or righteousness, which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us.
So Confessing the Lord Jesus and your belief. Works has nothing to do with salvation.
