What does this mean? "Older women realize that other women aren't competition."?

The article mentions confidence and that's exactly it.
Older women are generally more comfortable with who they are. They know what they want and what to expect from others.They are intellectually, emotionally and physically alive and unafraid..... that's the key. Her confidence says there is no competition !!

Maybe that she's good with her self esteem and probly has better confidence with her self and know has better qualities and experience than the younger girls.
