Not counting cigarettes.

A weekly total from your grocery store bill would be great, not looking for people who do a lot of eating out.

What day is it?

I spend anywhere for $2 to $30 a day depending on whats going on.

Some days I don't feel like eating more than a couple of cheap TV dinners (88 cents each)

some days I'll eat out 2 meals and one will involve a steak and big baked potato... (good relatively inexpensive steakhouse near here)

Average... probably $200 a month grocery bill not counting the restaurant charges. call it $300 a month total.

I live alone & eat out with friends almost every night.
I spend about $80 - $100 on food weekly, dont smoke and dont drink so this is just a food estimate.

I track this in Excel. $300 per month for two people. We very very rarely dine out or order in. So I guess that works out to about $5 a day for me in groceries.
