People say a lot of things. The revelation is from you spending time in his word and meditating it. the Holy Spirit is a part of the Trinity.
People get caught up on the Trinity. How can 3=1. My response is I am a mother, daughter and sister. I am holding down 3 titles wrapped in one.
Jesus said he is leaving but he will leave us with a comforter and that is the Holy Spirit. In all thy getting we must get understanding.
Stay in the word, ask God and wait for the answer. But if you're busy you can't hear. Just like we kick it with our friends and family kick it with God. Make a date and it will be the best date you'll ever have. He's closer than any brother and better than all of your lovers.

Are you feeling guilty because you are not praying to Jesus or ?? I don't fully understand your question. The Holy Spirit is part of the Trinity - (the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit) - Most Christians pray to Christ (or Heavenly Father - some pray to Mary, Mother of God or to a feminine God - our Mother - but whatever name you choose to pray to is fine - don't feel guilty about it. I feel it is a very personal choice and nothing "unscriptual" about it.

You pray to God as the creator, & Not God the Comforter, even though God the creator & god the Holy Ghost is the self same spirit, we have to see God as The Creator. Many trinity people thinks the Holy Ghost is different from God the creator, there is no difference, It is all The ONE same Spirit. There is no 3 spirits or 3 persons, God is not a person. But a spirit.

I actually take it that when I pray to God, I praying to The Father, The Son, And The Holy Spirit. I don't even think you can talk to one without the other three being present.
There's nothing unscriptural about praying to the Holy Spirit. Very often he is the one who actually leads you in prayer in the first place. Why feel guilty?
Sometimes when I make a prayer request, I ask it in the name of Jesus. I do this because Jesus said, whatever you ask in my name will be given. Still the Holy Spirit is there and hears this also, and responds.
Don't feel guilty. Save that for when you don't pray.

Christianity is not always a 'feeling' thing. You cannot go on what you feel all the time. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God. We are suppose to pray to Jesus or God. I have yet to read in the Word of God where having a dialogue with the Holy Spirit is wrong. But I don't think He is to be exalted above God. May God Bless U.

Read John 3:5,6,7,8 in the bible.
It talks about receiving the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is part of the Trininty (God the Father, Son Jesus, Holy Spirit).
It is definately not wrong to pray to the Holy Spirit, whom is God.
May God bless you with His wisdom and understanding of His word.
Always go back to scripture if you are ever doubting. The Word of God is the Truth. Continue to seek Him.

The Holy Spirit always confesses Jesus and honors him. So to exalt the Holy Spirit above the nature of what it was created for is wrong in itself.
When Jesus taught us how to pray he said "Our Father" that means we pray to the Father. Then he said I am the way the truth and the life, no man cometh unto the Father but by me. So we pray to God through Jesus. Then Jesus gave us a comforter, the Holy Spirit and: Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. The Spirit prays in our behalf when we are not making sense of it and brings it before Jesus who then brings it to God.

Every baptized Christian has already been made an adopted child of God through the divine mediation of Jesus Christ, and the power of the Holy Spirit, just as God the Father had always desired.
As such, every baptized Christian has the right to pray to the Father, or the Son, or the Holy Spirit, any time they choose.
Ask the Holy Spirit to explain this to you, and please tell him I sent you.

Do not feel guilty but remember Jesus, Himself, taught us to pray. He said to say, Our Father. He also said to ask in His name, without doubting, and Father God would grant it. There are times when praying, a person may not know how to express great love to the Father, or terrible grief or confusion. At times like these the Holy Spirit can express our heart to the Father better than we can. The Holy Spirit is a spiritual embodiment of the Love of Father God. He is given to us to keep love for Jesus in our hearts and Words of Father God in our mind. He is extremely powerful because of His origin and He can open our eyes to great truth from the Father. I answer this as my studied opinion from Matthew, John and James.

You're probably not feeling close to God because you're feeling guilty and guilt doesn't come from God...conviction does, though. I've asked the Holy Spirit to give me more revelation on scripture or help with something. After all, He is our teacher, comforter, constant companion, and counselor. But generally, I pray to the Father in Jesus name.
