the past 5 years i was in the army. my wife and i always said that the song was our life whenever i was deployed. you see that alot when couples are separated.

I can only speak for myself, but i dont think everyone know the lyrics you refer to. Anyways, I can personally say, I def. miss my lady/best friend when I'm away or she is, and I wish she could be right beside me right at that instant. I kind of feel empty...then again I rest assure knowing she's probably going through the same thing-then I smile thinking of her

Some of us do, for all the good it does us anyways. Usually it happens more from a split with a girl than just being away, sort of one in the same there though.

some guys are emotional too ... ask him and he will tell u how he feels....and that is a good song....i get upset when my gf leaves on trips and stuff....but i know she will come back....if you reallly love someone then distance doesn't matter..
