Okay, if the belief that mocking shows ignorance (where is cause and effect here?!) helps you sleep better at night ...

All those who are quick to bend over backwards to defend their god are unwittingly stating that their god can't take up for itself ... which is a poor sales technique if you wish to convert people -- who is gonna respect a god that is so weak?!

Perhaps the god in question has thicker skin.

I'm sure that if he/she/it we're pissed, they send down a plague, or hit you with a lightning bolt, or even slap you silly with a noodly appendage.

Would you be offended if I stood in your mother or father's face and ridiculed either one the way you people mock our God? I think you would.

Would you be offended if I or anyone else stood in your brother's face and called him every name under the son?

We get offended at anyone who mocks the ones we love most. Even someone such as yourself understands that much. You just do not respect our rights to believe in God, and thats your way of injury - by attacking the one we love most.

The news is - it doesn't injure anyone, makes you look like a jerk, and does not win any "get out of hell free" cards from God and build up damnation for yourself due on the day of Judgment.

"mocking their creation" you say.
My God wasn't created by man. Other people's gods may be. He is angry with the wicked. Still, He is merciful and long suffering in delaying justice many times and extends grace to the repentant heart.
There is not a more powerful God than the Creator of the Universe. If you truly want to hear from God for yourself, trying to provoke Him to wrath isn't wisdom to try to get His personal attention. Seems rather childish and backwards behavior to test one's boundaries in such a fashion. It is wisdom however to pray for God to forgive you for all your sins and save your soul if He is really real. He always answers that cry if the person hasn't blasphemed the Holy Spirit.
Jesus will one day reconcile all things to Himself. Until then, we are the light of the world, the salt of the earth, ambassadors for Christ and defenders of the faith. We hold up the blood stained banner for our Lord.

People oftentimes become synonymous with their religion. They let their faith influence all aspects of their lives and you can no longer separate them from their ideas. Therefore, when you mock their god, its like you're mocking them as well ... because eventually, there is no difference between the believer and the religion.

Because it shows disrespect towards their beliefs. Even if you don't agree with them, it doesn't mean you have the right to mock. It shows ignorance on your part.

God IS offended by your mockery. And as His People, we are also offended. Would you not be offended if I mocked your choice of life-model?

Their god doesn't exist. Who else is going to defend it?

One very glaring revelation that JI-HAD is not self-cultivation can be found on the founder of islam himself. BIG Problem here. Muhammad, the Islamic prophet manifested no such virtue/trait! The man helped himself to all the women he could find and had no less than 13 wives when he died (and is now still rotting at Mecca). Historical records by Islamic contemporaries of his time also revealed him to be a robber, a thief, a murderer, a rapist and a pedophile. In contrast to other beliefs/religions that teaches one to restrain one’s lust & desires, Muhammad made sure he made provision for it and restrained others instead of himself.

Women had to cover themselves fully or they risk getting themselves raped by his men for ‘indecency’. Muhammad killed those who spoke against him instead of proving them wrong. Such is NOT cultivation. Such is shameless justification of crimes and shame.

A quick check will reveal that over 70% of the quran teaches violence against non-muslims. The remaining contains little or no relevant teachings to be good. Which is why most muslims who attempt to write articles to impress a peaceful islam find themselves in drought of useful islamic quotes and they have to resort to improvising situational tactics to counter clear evidences that reveal the evil in islam. Even secular history proves the islamic religion to be a fraud.

Would a founder who himself is not a practitioner of self-restrain and good virtues be an advocate of such? Clearly not. Islamic moderates who today find themselves entrapped in the religion now has to find reasons outside of its teachings to remain in it. Unfortunately, looking outside the premises of islam is not an avenue that will allow them to remain as muslims. It only breaks up the entire religion and makes them look more silly. Islam is violent & evil whether you look at it from within or without.

SOME ISLAMIC/QURANIC TEACHINGS
------------------------------...

Qur’an 9:71 “O Prophet, strive hard [fighting] against the unbelievers and the Hypocrites, and be harsh with them. Their abode is Hell, an evil refuge indeed.”

Qur’an 8:60 “The infidels should not think that they can get away from us. Prepare against them whatever arms and weaponry you can muster so that you may terrorize them.”

Bukhari:V4B52N260 “The Prophet said, ‘If a Muslim discards his religion, kill him.’”

The bible written thousands of years before islam, pre-defined Islam as an Anti-Christian religion that denies the deity of Christ and a clearly fraudulent religion in claiming its founder to be a prophet when it is already declared openly in the scripture that there will be NO MORE prophets. This so-called prophet received his revelations in pain in a dark cave having no powers, no miracles no integrity except a life of shame.

Luke: 16.16: The law and the prophets were until John the Baptist. (Jesus said).

1Jo 2:22 - Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Messiah? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
