Don't get a perm, they look awful. I have lots of hair and its wavy. I have had some perms in my life and they have all looked horrid. The best thing to do would be to go with a Body Wave, or if you are dead set on a perm, ask the hair stylist what the largest curlers are. Get the largest curlers they have and get it done very loosely. You definitely don't want it tight. You will look like a poodle. Also, there is a way to go back after, but it pretty much ruins your hair. I did it to the last perm I had, and it fried my hair. Basically what happens is they take the solution they use to perm your hair, but they comb it through your hair instead of putting it in curlers. It FRIES your hair. I had really long hair when mine was permed, and after I straightened it, I had to cut it off to my chin to get all of the breakage out!

~You cannot wash out the perm either...just think about a Body Wave instead...

Go talk to your hair stylist or a stylist.

Realize that the smaller the curler, the curlier your hair...or frizzy.

Do you want a "fro" or just deep waves?

...and actually, if you do perm your hair and do not like it, you can buy another perm, use the perm solution and put it in your hair, comb it out straight, use the neutralizer and comb it out and it will reverse the perm but will leave your hair feeling really crappy and dry...

I'm not sure what you are saying about going back if you have one already. if you already have a perm then you dont need to go back unless it needs redone!
Just get a body wave.
