He is the Alpha and the Omega, Creator, Savior, and Lord.
He provides all the second chances we need so long as we strive to stay within His Will. His Love is all encompassing, and His Wisdom far beyond that of men.

He is my best friend.

The question itself is a fallacy. God cannot be bound by a gender or a single identity. "Who" implies that God is somehow restricted in form. It would be better to ask, "What is God?" Though, even then, you're limiting him to a certain number of things in existence. God has no parameters, no limitation. God is not anyone. God is not anything.

Religions have this nasty habit of writing about God as if it is a human being. It's our way of making the divine identifiable. It's been a way to justify such terrible things as modernized version of the Jihad and the Crusades of the past. Read the Bible, God is used as a way of justifying organization of societies and strengthening the social contract. It is too often abused by Christians, Jews, and Muslims, along with a myriad of other religions.

"God" is the Creator of all things: man, creatures, land, Earth, etc. He is our Father in Heaven and has created a plan that will give His children the opportunity to experience joy, sadness, good, bad, love, hate, and to create families of our own like He created us. He loves us and wants us to strive to be like Him by following His will and His Holy Commandments.

Possibly he is the creator of all things. On the other hand he probably doesn't exist at all. I guess I will find out in due course, although if death is the end then I will be no wiser then than I am now.
