I just went home for my lunch break cause my man was home and I wanted to spend time with him. He was very intent on finding out what time i will be getting home and I told him same time as every day! I then went back to work and 20mins later he rings my work direct line when he always calls me on my mobile cause it costs nothing? Any way he rang to ask me the most stupid question in the world and then I was like "was that all you wanted?"
Whats the go was he checking up on me to see if i went back to work????

Actually dear, I think he is but not for the reason you think.
I'm a male and, sad to say, but it sounds like he's cheating on you or doing something else that he ain't supposed to be. The reason he called on your work line is because then he knew that you were definitely at work, whereas with the cell, he wouldn't know where you were. Also, the dumbest question was a futile effort to cover him calling.
I don't know what he's up to, but take it from a guy, he's up to something.
But look at the bright side, he may be just that insecure as to think something about you.
If you can forward your work phone to your cell, try this: Do the same thing that you did today, but have your work phone forwarded to your cell. Then stay close to home and if he calls, then immediately go back home and see what's up. Even if you don't actually catch him in the act, his actions and demeanor will speak volumes.
Another thing would be to tell him when you're planning to be home, but then show up an hour or two early. You may not like what you find, but it would be coming to him.

I am sorry but it sounds like he was checking to see if you were at work because he is doing something he is not suppose to be doing. One day go to work and ask to leave early before your lunch break. Make sure you talk to him from you business phone that morning so he think you will be at work all day. Drop in unexpectedly and see what he is doing.

Sounds suspicious to me, he shouldn't be so concerned about whether your at work or not. If it were me I would take a day off without mentioning it and leave out like normal for work, then show up home about three hours early to see whats going on.

Well it could be that he already missed you. Maybe he was checking on you that you went back to work so that he could cheat on you with someone and knows where you are. Or he's paranoid that you might cheat on him. Or he could be worried paranoid that something might happen to you before you got back to work. Maybe he's OCD. Or maybe he just wanted to hear your voice again. The suggestions are endless.

I have a great idea for you. Why dontcha ask him yerself? If he says no, then ask him why all the mysterious behavior? Perhaps he is simply planning something for you.

I hope I am wrong, but it sounds more like he is making sure he knows when you WON'T be home....and happily, there are plenty of motivations that are innocent

Could have been and then could have wanted to make sure you were at work so you wouldn't be able to check on him.

either wanted to know if you went back to work because he doesn't trust you, or wanted to make sure you would be gone for his lady friend to come over
