I know that I need to get over this, I am not that stupid, but, in asking this, maybe someone will say that I may be... but, within loneliness is a hurting pain that won't go away.... I live for every day within the little things that may be taken for granted in life, but, yet, I long for a healed heart within to take all that pain away....

Peace

Your pain will never go away because pain, like joy, are what make you who you are. The secret is what you do with that pain.

Finding joy in the simple things in life is what helps me deal with pain. Sometimes my buddies laugh at me because I don't buy expensive things or have expensive, exotic hobbies. I don't play golf, have an expensive car, a big screen t.v., a trophy girlfriend, etc., but I have resolved to find purpose in the simple parts of life to offset the complex parts. That might be what you need to do to deal with this.

Loneliness, I think, is merely a symptom of a lack of purpose and meaning in life. Find something to pour yourself into that helps someone or contributes to the success of something. It might be at a church, some kind of art group, a community involvement group, a mentoring program (you don't have to be perfect to be a mentor, just be there) or something that you can find fulfillment in. The best way to improve your life is to improve someone else's.

Listen to the song "Message In A Bottle" by the Police. It might give you some perspective.

Good luck and God bless.

I've always found art to be a great source of strength for me. Drawing always manages to give me a calm sense of mind no matter what's troubling me.
Also just spending time with a person, strangely lately talking to my mother on the phone has really helped me out during the week. I moved really far from home for school and don't know many people out side of school in this province so talking to someone fermiliar is always nice.
