I was raised in a church. After I got old enough I no longer went. I thought well theres lots of time Ill just wait til Im older and have my fun now. Well the past 15 years are past and what a mistake I made. I have let many friends and relatives die without ever knowing Jesus. Everytime someone died I was like I could be next. That scared me very much. But each time I was getting closer to finding my way back to the Lord. Eventually I did. Now I teach Sunday School to the Jr High level. I watch the kids some are interested some listen but pretend not to. I think that back in our mind we know that God is real. When you read what is happening today and its in the Bible you know the word of God is true. Not only is archeology finding the validity of the Bible but even science is. You know its not a question of believing or not its a question of when you are going to repent and be serious about your relationship with the Lord. Amen and Peace out.................

I believe in allowing God Himself to determine what I should believe, by making sure what he indicates in the Bible is what I base my beliefs on, rather than what anyone elswe says. The following articles are designed as guides to that end, & help one learn what He/it says ...
Do You Know The Truth? :
- "The Truth Will Set You Free"
- Worshipping God With Truth
http://watchtower.org/library/w/1998/10/1/article_01.htm
Do You Know the Truth About Armageddon?
- A Catastrophic End? OR, A Happy Beginning?
http://watchtower.org/e/20051201/article_01.htm
The End of False Religion Is Near!
- What Is False Religion?
- How Will It End?
- How Will You Be Affected?
http://www.watchtower.org/e/kn37/article_01.htm
How Can You Find the True Religion? :
1 Are all religions pleasing to God, or is just one?
2 Why are there so many religions that claim to be Christian?
3 How can you identify true Christians?
http://www.watchtower.org/library/rq/article_13.htm
There is also an excellent book (tho not online) that unbiasedly presents the basic histories, beliefs, teachings, customs, & practices of world religions ...
Here is a skeleton of its table of contents:
"Mankind's Search For God" :
1. Why be Interested in Other Religions? 2. Religion--How Did It Begin? 3. Mythology 4. Magic & Spiritism 5. Hinduism 6. Buddhism 7. Taoism & Confucianism 8. Shinto 9. Judaism 10. Christianity 11. Apostasy 12. Islam 13. The Reformation 14. Modern Disbelief 15. A Return to the True God 16. The True God & Your Future - (Subject Index)

It does'nt matter what you believe because just pure belief in something does'nt make it real. As a child when you're told about Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny among other fictional characters. You believe blindly and accept them as true existing entities and later in childhood you find out you were lied to. If something actually is real, it does'nt need you to believe in it, to make it real. My point is I don't know if God exists or if any religion is factually right. Regardless of their claims, no living person can factually claim to know for sure. Hopefully we all find out the answer when we die. I'm not athiest, but I also do not believe blindly in anything just because someone tells me to. I do think however whether it be God or some other great creator, something had to be responsible for the perfect living existince that was given to man on this planet in all of the vast galaxies. The condition for life is to perfect to be more than just coincedence. So basically, I suggest in looking at all religions and perspectives others have about God and life and find out what you can relate to the most and be at peace with it.

I, too, was raised Christian -- I was originally Anglican, then became Roman Catholic in high school, then an atheist in university, and I've now been Wiccan for thirteen years.
You don't need a religion to be a good, happy, or fulfilled person. Unless you have the urge in your heart to seek the Divine, to do so would be an empty gesture and, in my opinion, dishonorable. There's no shame in being an agnostic or an atheist if that is honestly your position on the matter.
If you do have the desire to practice a religion -- well, it sounds like Christianity might not be working for you. Try Beliefnet:
http://www.beliefnet.com
which hosts the Belief-O-Matic quiz to determine which religion suits you as well as numerous forums and discussion groups where you can talk with others during your faith search.
You can find the Belief-O-Matic quiz at:
http://www.beliefnet.com/story/76/story_7665_1.html
For good objective information on a variety of religions (including the widely various types of Christianity) and spiritual paths, try Religioustolerance.org:
http://www.religioustolerance.org
I wouldn't presume to tell you which religion, if any, is right for you -- in my opinion, that's a decision only you can make, and all religions are valid paths to finding God. Best of luck to you on your path!

I found my way through Buddhism. No weird rites, no magic spells, no dogma that is not common sense and supported by the evidence of your own experience and no requirement to believe anything which cannot be tested.
Possibly it could work for you but you need to find your own path. Try not to be seduced into following something just because it is popular or it's easy or what your friends do. Try to find what path best suits your temperament and fixed beliefs. For me, Buddhism works because I do believe in a moral code and philosophical understanding of the way things really work but do not feel comfortable being forced to accept a God concept for which no objective evidence exists.
Your path to knowledge may be different but the important thing is to find your path and explore it with an open mind.
Good luck on your search.

u should really read a copy of the Qu'ran, it is very enlightening and many people who feel lost as u do do so as well. but with all the issues going on with it today, i hope it does not discourage u. but if u do reject Islam, I respect that, and u should stick with Christianity. As long as u believe in God. Just dont lose faith. I hope u find what u want, make the right decision.

The Christian faith is predicated upon an antiquated e book that became initially written in a language you do no longer comprehend, in a time you have never lived, able you have never been to, for a people and way of existence you comprehend no longer something approximately. stated e book is meant to be the extensive-unfold device I make the main of to control my existence... it truly is thoroughly absurd. i'm self reliant and am able to figuring out my direction in existence via fact of society and an academic gadget designed to tell. no longer a dogmatic shape that tells you to adapt. If a faith says you're born in sin, inferior, and could do specific issues to soothe an entity you have never met, run any incorrect way.

I am a Jehovah's Witness. I am a Christian with a much more solid foundation than most Christians because we study the Bible much more diligently and we are truly united amongst ourselves. We strive always to follow the examples that Jesus set for us and we study not only his life but all of his teachings in depth. If you doubt, check it out. We welcome all and will help you to find the answers you seek.

People have been looking for some sort of proof of the existence of god for over 2000 years. No one has come up with one, and in my opinion it is impossible to do so. So, I'm an atheist.

It's easy to get lost into things and be drawn away from the truth. Sometimes you have to look deeper into it for understanding. And if you notice one thing about the Bible, it does relate to many things that go on today. (Not too many can debate with that...)
