tongue illness?

if you are going to answer this question, please do it seriously.
even though she has scheduled an appt already, i still feel like i need to know something about it.

so, maybe 2 nights ago, my dad and i told her that the food was too salty, and she was like "oh really? i added lots of salt but still didn't think it was salty enough". we didn't think much about it... my mom thought maybe the cinnamon tic-tacs she ate had something to do with it.

this morning, she stuck out her tongue in front of the mirror and saw subtle (lighter) vertical stripes across the tip of her tongue. she showed it to me at dinner... and i was so freaked out and scared about her i almost cried.

so, imagine that you pressed the tip of your tongue to the spiral of a notebook... except that the indent would go outward instead...

so if you know anything about that, please tell me... or if you know where i might get some info...
(yes i kno its gross, and you dont need to repeat it again)

making a dr's appt is the best idea,,,,,, people can get infections,,, and rash type things, on their tongues,,,,,,, it is not something really serious, can be cured by antibiotics, so i wouldnt over worry,,,,,,,,, think about it, as your eating,, biting into things, things can scratch your tongue, little nicks etc,, which could set it up for infection,,,,,,,,, also, sometimes, other things like sinus infections , allergies, etc can effect both taste and the tongue,,,,,,,,,,,,,its sorta just like with the throat, you can get tonsillitis, strep throat etc,,,,, if you really could look down in your throat, it too would look gross, bumps, pus pockets etc

since her sense of taste is off,, and she has those bumps,,,,,, yes something is going on,,,,,, just stay calm,,,, get it diagnosed,,,,,
