All world religions are in essence stages in the ongoing revelation of the one religion. They come from the same Source and have the same essential purpose—to guide and educate the human race. Their spiritual core is one, but they differ in their secondary aspects such as in their social teachings, which change in relation to humanity’s evolving requirements.
Im a Baha'i and i dont think there is just one true religion,
for example Christianity was a true religion 2000 years ago, all the laws were right in that time, but now they dont apply anymore because there came another religion, some laws were removed or some adapted because in the time of Mohammed and where He lived, most of the people were nomades, like the law , its forbidden to eat pork, because maybe the nomades didnt cook the food good enough, so that law was good at that time but now most of the people cook there food well, like pork.
So this is the time where another religion came from God, The Baha'i faith and the laws of Mohammed were adapted or removed or some are added, because some laws arent necessary anymore.
All the religions are correct and true and non is wrong because it was right in that particular time.
Btw you can talk about a religion when there is a Manifestation of God who comes to spread the faith.

I think that you should read the bible and research what different religions believe and see if they practice what they preach... I have found that the Jehovah's Witnesses do that... But like I said you have to discover things for yourself... The one thing that I will say is that the bible tells you what is right and wrong there is no gray area... We as imperfect humans make the gray area... And even though the say let your conscience be your guide you need to have a well trained conscience before you can allow it to guide you... And as far as mix and match well that's not such a good idea... because every time you want to do something that the religion that you are in says is wrong you will want to find a way to justify your wrong doing by saying that in this other religion it's okay to it when in reality you know what you are doing is wrong...

There are many religions out there. Everyone thinks that their religion is the right one. There is nothing wrong with trying to find your own way. I believe that religion is very personal, and should not be shoved down one's throat. Do your own reseach, on the internet, or take a religion class. I've taken three: World Religions, Religions in America, and History of religion in America. I wish that I would have take more. Attend services with friends, try to find out what you believe. Hope this helps. Good Luck!!

I think that you should research religions in depth, since i personally believe that Islam is the true religion. Maybe by researching the Quran and or visiting a mosque. In Islam you are not allowed to mix and match and Islam is considered as a way of life.

A religion is not just a belief in god, but the belief that you must form your life around it's rules and principles. Not too many people are die hard religious fanatics. People don't usually base their lives around scripture. Most people find what they love about life and go with it. Finding the "one true religion" Is a tough endeavor. The truth is nobody will know for sure which (if) god is really watching from the Heavens. Nobody. So just find what you love about life and go with it. Why complicate things?

Jesus said the road to life is narrow and few are the ones finding it and the road to destruction is cramped and many are on it. I believe that the Jehovah's Witnesses have the road to life. Mixing and matching probably means you are following your own way and God's way is the only way that will truly work.

No, it's not wrong to mix and match. In fact, that is the smart thing to do. You are right to explore what you think and discover your own philosophy instead of blindly following just one.
I'm an atheist, but I don't have a problem with other people having religion, and in fact I arrived at my current philosophy through a great deal of questioning, studying, and thinking just as you seem to be.
Kudos, and good luck.

The Catholic Church is the true church. It is the church that Jesus himself founded. In Matthew 16:18, He said "I will build my church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it." This means that His church will never be destroyed until He returns. And that is why the Catholic Church has existed for 2000 years now despite all the persecutions, oppositions, and scandals it went through and still going through.

This sure is a loaded question. As far as I am concerned, Christianity is the one true religion.
I am a firm believer in every word of the Bible. Jesus said the only way to heaven is through Him so that settles it for me.
So many religions contradict each other seems mixing them would be impossible
