Your scalp is itchy because you are drying it out w/cheap shampoo's, & you are probably washing your hair w/hot water.
Your hair is oily because it is trying to make up for the dry scalp.
Get a moisturizing shampoo. Rinse your hair in cool water and for 5 min or longer. Make sure you get all the shampoo out. You will notice a diff soon.

Well depending on whether your hair is long or short, to let you know if your hair is short it usually gets greasy faster because it doesn't have much to soak into. Though when longer the grease just continues working its way down. Gross i know. I do suggest head and shoulders it works magic. Try to shower every second day or so though. Your head gives out natural oils that your hair needs in order to stay healthy. I imagine that with all that washing you are washing those oils out and your hair is replacing them with grease. Ask your hairdresser about it. Tell her your problem and im sure she can help you.

are either of your grandpas bald? if so, don't dye your hair...you probably have the genes to go bald yourself and that will just speed it up. also, i use dove...makes your hair feel nice and soft. but if you're having a problem like that, you might want to see your doctor. they usually prescribe prescription shampoos which can fix your scalp up in a week or so.

i have really dry itchy scalp as well and i was recommended by my stylist to use the neutrogena shampoo which can be found at drugstores and you could always go to the dermatologist and get medicated shampoo which works really well.

You might have dermatitis. A good dermatologist can recommend a prescription shampoo that will clear it up quickly.
