He makes fun of me in class, treats me like I am just another girl he could pick up anywhere else and that I am not that important. But in private I am his world and he never wants to break it off. It makes me feel all this amazement and wonder but I want to be able to feel that all the time and everywhere. Why does he do this to me? What should I do? Should I break it off? Everytime I go to do it I think about how much his friends (who have now become my friends) will hate me or be mad at me. I also think, what if it is meant to be. Is it honestly worth it?

yes leave him!!! forget what ppl will think or say bc u know the truth.. also if yall are meant to be together it will happen you'll get back together but for now leave him.. and see how he will treat you after that.. he sounds like a jerk honey.. u r prob to good for him you can do better

If you have to ask you really need to do some evaluation about your self respect and self esteem and you also need to have a firm conversation with him.

He should be constant no matter who ya'll are around. If he treats you differently in public I would ditch him.
