since my dad died i have had horrible nightmares. i see him as he is dying, suffering, screaming in pain. i also see his best friend who shot himself as he did it and how he looked after he did it. the dreams are coming more and more frequently and i dont know what to do to make them stop. my doc said to stop taking codeine at night, which i have, and i still have them often. what causes these dreams and how do i make them stop? they wake me up, sometimes crying sometimes screaming and sometimes fighting. i need to make them stop, i can hardly go to sleep now because of them. please help.

Sweetie I'm sorry to hear about your dad and his friend.
I would seriously consider counseling to help you deal with your feelings and the pain of the loss.

I find that by working out and eating properly.. meaning eating good , healthy foods had helped me sleep better at nite. Also try to block out or better yet join a group with similar issues as you to talk about it, could in fact make the problems goes away that much sooner if and, can put a diff perspective on the prob as well. All and all it is a win win situation. And please lay off the codeine if all possible, too.
All the best!
P.S> Keep ur mind healthy and rest will be easy..remember that!

The craziest desires ever (throughout the time of being pregnant is the only time i in my opinion remember my desires). 2 nights in the past I dreamed that 4 alluring, tiny, blue birds have been given in my domicile and made 2 diverse nests. some days later, I looked up there and the eggs hatched. guess what replaced into in them? infant kittens (some million/2 the dimensions of the widely used newborn kitten). They have been chirping and meowing and then the enormous birds started attacking me. a million evening in the past I dreamed my motor vehicle replaced into vandalized. I have not got any theory the place those desires are coming from, LOL. Gotta love hormones!!

srry. i know what your going through. My daddy died about a year ago and i know what it feels like. One thing i think is that when yo take medication it makes you think about things you usually wouldn't if you weren't on medication so i strongly suggest to stop taking it at night unless it is absolutely needed. And remeber that they are in a better place and they wouldn't want you haveing dreams like that.. now would they?..i think not....don't sweat it and in the words of Eminem," Don't mourn rejoice"
Srry and Good Luck Gurl:)

Your loss is painful and if I could help you I would. Try listening to positive music-steer away from negative shows or movies. Maybe that might help. I wish you the best.

There is only one thing that can help you and that is Jesus Christ. You do not need medicence. You will probably end up becoming addictied to the drugs. You need pray. I will keep you in my prayers!

I'm sorry honey. Death is hard enough without having to deal with the way he died. Please go to The Intercessors and post your prayer request. There are people on there that will pray for you 24/7, including me. God can heal your pain. Please go there okay. Peace to you.
