I know it is a loaded question, but please read this before you reply.
OK, I know I am going to get slammed by the xenophobes on here but... I am a citizen who thinks the DREAM Act is perfectly logical. I actually live in Los Angeles, and know many undocumented students. Get this... in almost all cases THEY DID NOT CHOOSE TO COME TO THE UNITED STATES because they were to young. They grew up here, learned English, forged lasting connections to the United States, know little of their country of origin and became practically Americans. Why should we punish the children for the crimes of their parents?
Now those children, after they graduate from high school, want to go to college and/or join the military. In almost all cases, their loyalty should not be questioned. Believe me. They grew up here and do love this country, despite the many reasons to disagree with its domestic and foreign policies.
To me, that is logical.

Due to the fact that they are not here legally, they do not qualify for welfare or food stamps etc.
And because they have darker skin, or do not have as much money as you, they are not "scum of the earth."
Thank God the Democrats control Congress; we'll see this Act passing soon yet!
