NOPE, but it doesnt change the belief that He was. More perfectly it opened a public debate on the matter. Even though the movies was flawed for sources, the subject of jesus being married pre dates this century as a controversy.
Could it be that the catholic church changed the priesthood from a necessity of bisophs being married to Jesus never being married to fit their theology?
In my opinion which agrees with many points of veiw when Jesus said to john the baptist to suffer being baptized and to fulfill all righteousness means that jesus knew the Jewish tradition of Marriage being the number one commandment of God. Therefore in the bar mitsvah of Jesus, he had to know it was good and ordained of God to be married to Avoid Fornication.

You must be LDS too huh? I do believe that Christ was married. He said he came to fulfill all righteousness. To me, that means being married. I know that it doesn't say anything about it in the bible, but think about the reasons. He probably knew the persecution he was going to go through, and he knew that since his name was going to be drug through the mud, that his wife's name would be worse. I think it was a way of keeping her out of everything. It would be hard enough to know what people were going to do with your name, let alone someone you love.

He was called Rabbi, which means teacher in Hebrew. Most of them weren't married, but if a man was learned enough, and old enough, they would be called Rabbi without being married. Most times though, they were married, and knowing the traditions back then, then it was very possible he was married.

Although, if he was, she was a very understanding woman. There aren't many women that would stand for her husband gone traveling and teaching most of the time. Not only that, but she had to understand what was going to happen to Christ, and be able to accept that he wouldn't be around with her that long. I'm sure there were long talks about His life and His mission. I'm sure she had talks with angels and maybe even the Father himself about it. She would have had to understand what Christs life meant, and she would have had to come to terms with his death. I'm sure she was a stronger woman then I am. I don't know if I could deal with that sort of knowledge.

Of course he was married. There were no such thing as bachelors except those shepherds. Notice his wife always sat on his right side when they had supper. As quoted in the bible on page 443. For more proof just look at the pictures of the "Last Supper" The DaVinci code is a book of fiction similar to the bible. The only difference being the bible was written by a bunch of guys who couldn't speak or write American. Obviously they didn't intend for their book to be read by Americans.

Not only that, but ppl called Jesus "Rabbi" and he was a jew right? It was forbidden for a man to be a Rabbi that was not married. They would never have used that terminology if he were not married. People do not want to see the historical evidence that the DaVinci Code hinted at. They want to just have it tied up in a neat little package and lable it "fiction"...when much of it is historically accurate.

Marriage is one of the greatest struggles...if Jesus was here to experience human struggles....he would HAVE to have been married.....LOL

No more than the Bible proved JC even existed

Who's the better fiction novelist, Dan Brown or Luke, John, et al?

What it DID prove though is that it is possible to get away with plagiarism

well, the book proved nothing, but yes it was a gud read...as far as the question of jesus being married..what is the big deal? how strong is ur faith if it cant even accpet tht the human prophet was married? well then, most christiams dont treat jesus as human...i think its time to put this theory to rest..how does it concern us if he was married or not?

Of course it did not; the book is fiction. The restriction on priests marrying dates from the Middle Ages, when the Church wanted priestly assets left to it, not to priestly descendants.

It was a work of fiction - get over it.
As for Jesus being married, one should be open to possibilities but attaching beliefs to a work of fiction is childish.

Lots of things 'could be true'. That doesn't make it so. And how does that really change God's Message of Salvation? It doesn't.
So why worry about it?

The DaVinci Code is fiction. It is the product of a feeble mind.

Why the book was a work of fiction. That is why if you go to a bookstore to buy it you will find it in the fiction section.
