I have been really wanting to get a dog. I am a stay @ home mom so it would not be home alone ever. Lalala So I decided to ask my mom if she would ask the lady since we (BF baby and me) are moving out in a few months if it would be a problem if we got one...a few hours before she called the lady my Brother was over and happened to ask why we didn't have a dog (he didn't know we couldn't) and my mom tell him I wanted her to ask if we could have one. But THEN She says this "if it were a dog I was getting then Iwould really fight to get it" She knows how important a dog is to me and my BF! then when she talked to the lady she didnt metion anything I asked her too! xtra $ we are willing to pay me @ home all the time the dog is house trained and spayed!!!!

If the lady said "No pets" then please abide by her wishes and don't ask her if she will allow one. If she is friends with your mom, you are putting that woman in a bad position of needing to say no, but afraid she might make a friend mad. Wait until you can have a place that allows pets. Even if the dog is house trained that doesn't mean there won't be accidents or doggie throw up. Even if you paid extra money to cover the cost of carpet replacement, she may not want to have to deal with that when the time comes. Easier for her just to not worry about it at all.

You have enough problems without throwing a dog into the mix. Get a dog when you have a stable home relationship. Dogs require attention and training. Dogs make messes, chew things, bark and can be quite stupid (I'm a dog owner, I know.) Dogs are very costly - a simple visit to the vet for just a checkup and vaccinations will cost more than $150 each time.

Work on your relationship with your mother and work on your emotional maturity before getting a dog.

Why don't you just call the lady? You are obviously old enough to rent a house, so you should be able to take care of things yourself. Why are you still relying on your mom to do it? Just call the lady and if she says no, oh well, wait until you move out in a couple of months.

You do not own the home in which you live and your contract with the owner prevents you from owning a pet. I would suggest that you and your little family find a home of your own and in a place which allows pets. Until you are out of this rental, you have no right to bring a dog into it. I love dogs, by the way; and have one in my home. However, I do not allow pets in my rentals because it is very costly to remove the odor, accidental poops, etc. in spite of huge efforts on the part of tenants to avoid these things. Good luck!

Objective lesson Number 54.

Mothers are Mothers. Always have been always will be. There is no getting away from that fact Mothers are created in Hell just so as to torment girls like You. Haven't You read the fine print on the agreement She issued to You when You become involved with Your Boyfriend?
"Thou shall obey only Me on All Things pertaining to My Life, Your Life and Happiness, and that is all that there is to it!"
Tell Your Mother to make a choice, let You live Your own life, or You will Live it without Her being involved.. End of the section! Cheers!

Get married ,get your own place & GROW UP!
Your priorities are really messed up! I love animals, but your family needs to come first & it is going to be really hard to rent a DECENT house that allows pets.
I have to pay $400 for 2 cats where i am moving!& I will never get that money back no matter how clean the house is when I move out.

some mothers and dads are notably primitive. "***** b****"disgrace on her absolutely everyone needs to love and be enjoyed looking the main suitable guy or woman is yet another tale. in the journey that your previous guy is something like mine he forgot a thank you to love her years in the past. If she starts off in why stand there and get all annoyed stroll away. over the years I found out somethings in simple terms isn't worth it. Arguing with mothers and dads is one in all them.
