my ex gf's close female friend said this to me in an email...what does it mean? we are in our 30s. Do you think she is talking generally or specifically, like my ex may be planning to find a donor for a kid (she really wants one)? I am confused by the statement. Am I reading too much into it? Yes, I believe you are reading too much into it. What the friend is trying to say is that you and your g/f are making a huge mistake by not getting back together since you are perfect together and will never find another person to measure up. Once you let someone go out of your life who is good for you, lots of poor decisions usually follow.

she just needs to come straight to the point instead of just hinting around. I'm a woman so I know women are really bad at doing this and I really hate it. I always try to be straight to the point. I would think she is probably talking about a donor or something if your ex is really wanting to have kids. I can see why anyone would be confused with this statement, it is way to vague. I can't believe she is in her 30s, seems more like a high school kid.

i can only say that she would love to see both of you back together...
however, thats her thoughts. if you are no longer romantically linked to you ex or have no feelings for ex-gf, then just thank her for her email and tell her that your ex-gf will meet someone who will give her all the happiness she wants.

It sounds like you're reading too much into it.. it just sounds like she really thinks that you should get back together with your ex... but I don't know anything else about the situation, so who knows...
