Are you going for complimenting words or derogatory words? It really depends on how you feel about birds and what you're trying to say. Are you describing your perception of them, their appearance, their general temperaments and personalities? I'm biased and will be more complimenting, so here goes:
Angelic, sweet, adorable, loyal, loving, affectionate, bonding, graceful, swift, sensitive, emotional, vibrant, energetic, fun, amusing, clownish, fearless, defensive, lovable, strong, willful, aerodynamic, manipulating, intelligent, curious... Hm, good words are difficult to come upon at midnight.
