3.1MPix -That will be very good! but having affordable camera won't give you that high digital video resolution.

Suggest you read it carefully bcoz most of them pertain to digital still shots and NOT the video.

Cute.... even 8Mpix wont give you the picture you like since it is a video camera your using. Use videocam for video, and digicam for stills.

Don't worry about it. If your camera has over .5 megapixels, you're probably not going to notice a difference. If it has a digital still function, and you don't have an additional still camera, then look for something higher. But lower megapixels can actually increase your video performance because each pixel is bigger, and therefore has less noise. So take all these points into consideration. Hope this helps!

Megapixels is a level of how lots memory is used to keep each and each image. the better the megapixels, the sharper the image would be once you print it or demonstrate it. of direction, meaning that the document you acquire to the pc would be bigger, too. yet once you crop a small area of this image, you could enhance it extra in case you want and nevertheless have it stay quite clean. Optical zoom is a similar on digital and the previous action picture cameras. Lenses flow returned and forth to zoom in. digital zoom means the utility on the digital camera takes a smaller area of the image in memory and enlarges it interior the digital camera memory. you will nevertheless get a quite sharp, clean image, yet you won't be able to enhance it as much as you should a minimum of one inquisitive approximately only optical zoom. it rather is via the fact while it enlarges it, it takes each and each pixel and enlarges it to 4 pixels in a sq., or 9 pixels, etc. all of sudden the enlarged pixels start to look blocky and fuzzy. Which digital camera you get relies upon on what you prefer to apply it for, and how lots you prefer to spend. I definitely have a Kodak EasyShare that has 3.a million megapixels, with 3x optical zoom and 10x digital. It became approximately $a hundred and forty 2 years in the past. Now that lots buys much extra digital camera. that is superb for snapshots and trip photos. it may even get large photos for many something you would be wanting to apply on the internet. even nonetheless it takes countless seconds when I snap the image to keep it into memory. that is no longer solid in case you prefer to take countless speedy photos in succession. it rather is one subject that the dearer cameras do extra ideal. the another subject i might seem for could be how ordinary is it to flow photos to a working laptop or pc. do you want particular utility to flow them? Do you get any editting utility to swap the image? you additionally can acquire unfastened utility to do some particular effects. IrfanView and Picasa are 2 that i've got used that i like.

Right now you're in luck because the cost of cameras has gone down. I would suggest you go with at least a 5 megapixel. I have one that is 3 megapixels and it comes out grainy if you try to take a picture far away...you really can't do it...Definitely go with five!!!
