okay so I took a little too much benadryl, about 350 mg. (I wrote about it in another question) I dont think itll be a big deal, but now I have to take a few more pills.... some lithium, deplin, remeron, and effexor. My mom will know if I dont take them, and I am not telling her anything about what I did. I dont want anything to happen though, if I mix those meds with the benadryl. Should I try and postpone taking my meds for a bit or should it be okay?

Ive been having all these thoughts in my head, and horrible memories keep popping up. I cant stop them...Im really depressed. I dont want to die, I just want to crawl inside a dark cave and stay there forever. I feel like **** and none of the meds were working, so I took a little extra benadryl. I have tried to overdose in the past, because I actually wanted to die. I had to drink charcoal. there was this tube in my throat and I coulnt do anything about it. I felt like I was re-living the abuse all over again. Thats why I cant tell my mom. I refuse to do that again. Id rather just die.

You should be fine with the effexor, at least. The ones that are worrisome are the ones that are sedating, particularly the remeron.

If there is any way you can get to a phone to call a 24 hour pharmacy or maybe even a poison control center they can tell you if it is safe.

It's probably okay but I'm really not sure. I took remeron and lithium for awhile and I remember my psychiatrist telling me explicitly NOT to mix the remeron with benadryl.

No offense, but STUPID STUPID GIRL! Have you not noticed how many people drop dead not just from overdose, but a synergistic reaction to over the counter and prescription drugs! Your mom would rather have a daughter who was alive than to live with the guilt of giving her her final "dose" without even knowing. You are very selfish not to tell her. Hmmm....lets see, mad mom or death....which do I choose? Here is a good idea, take it all, and then tell your mom. they will give you NARCAN and get everything out of your system right before they restrain you and shove tubes up your nose, and push them all the way down into your abdomen. They will pump charcoal through that until you puke. No one can be in the room with you, except the nurses and docs. Could you be more responsible, please!

Bless ya

Something tells me you should talk to mom on this one. Drug related problems can start you on a road you don't want to go down and when you realize that it may be too late. Look at Britney she is in over her head and she is older than you. Admit what you did to your mom and tell her that you are doing this because you love her and do not want to make her life more confusing than it already is. Sometimes drugs have interaction problems that can create real time dilemma. Go tell mom and see what she can advise you to do, should you do want you are thinking without talking to her could end up in a big problem. I once had a girl friend who went out on the town with her girl friends, got drunk and decided to take some sleeping pills for a good nights rest, well guess what, She didn't sleep too well because they found her dead the next day. We are apt to do stupid things with drugs and you know the right thing to do so do it, Anything your mom might say to you is nothing compared to what she might say finding you next morning.

Because some med you DO NOT mix with alcohol!! You will start feeling better, but it might take a little longer than a week. Just eat right and drink plenty of liquids to flush out your body of any poisons.

STOP!!! Don't make a bad situation worse. You don't know if those meds will interact, I don't know exactly either. I can tell you that my doc only has me take half a dose of over the counter meds so they do not interact with my presciptions (lexapro, welbutrin and ativan). Here try this. Call one of those 24 pharamacies. Tell them what prescriptions you are on and ask if the benedryl will interact with them. In other words, ask someone who knows.

why did you take so much benadryl?? or why any at all.. DO not take any of your other pills without talking to a pharmacist..ignore the people on this board and listen to me...is anyone here certified to answer this question?? NO...then YOU call the pharmacist yourself, your mom doesnt need to know....howver you should talk to her about it...however i have a feeling that you are keeping this from her because you didnt take it because you have a cold.....

Call your pharmacist.
In the future, don't take so much benadryl at one time.
