I wore mine on and off throughout the day for a few weeks then i began to wear it only at night (I was supposed to wear it all the time). I lost it and they made me a new one that was 'invisible'. I wore that on and off for a few weeks until it didn't fit right anymore because my teeth shifted a little. That's when I gave up. It was a stupid mistake because many of my teeth became slightly crooked again. It wasn't as extreme as before I had the braces but some teeth moved back a little bit to how they were before. I wish I had worn that f**king thing and I really regret it now. I can't stand how one of my big front teeth is slightly on an angle now. It's like I'd need to get braces a second time and I'm 29 years old.

I dont think I wore it for the full year but I do remember having not worn it for a while and my teeth shifted. Was never able to wear it again so I chucked it.

i wore my top one for a couple of months and i haven't seen any changes in my teeth, and its been about 6 years. it may depend on how bad ur teeth were to determine how long to wear it...mine weren't too bad... the retainer was just too uncomfortable for me to wear. My bottom one is permanent...and that can never come out unless i get some pliers and pry it off.

I wore mine for like a year and half, and at night only. After that, the orthodontist kept the retainers.

to be honest. you need to wear your retainer forever. especially if you had braces because you teeth will shift. so if just got braces off everynight for atleast a year. then you can go down to like 3-5 times week.

wear it until your orthodontist tells you its not needed any more. they're the experts on this, listen to them.
